Fairways dried out, greens fast, but don’t walk!
I thought the greens were faster than Medinah which is where I played two days prior. Further, the fairways need water. Very dried out. Lastly. Don’t walk unless you are in 1. good shape, 2. it’s cool and 3. you’ve had a recent physical. Very spread out due to trying to give all those homes golf course views. 10-18 are across the road. Weird. I liked the staff. Super nice and friendly. I would play again tho if the price was right.

Slowest Round - No Ranger
It took more than 5.5 hours to play. There was no starter and no ranger to help monitor the course. There was also no beverage cart during that time.
For the price, there a lot of better options in the area.

Need some on course Ammenities
No bathrooms throughout course , garbage cans were over filled and spilling over , cart person only came by one time. We’ were hot and needed some hydration.
Course is beautiful, golf carts needs update and gps, also there should be map of course in front of every TEE. For a $50 course that should be a given.

Challenging track
The arboretum is a solid track that will test all the clubs in the bag. There is trouble all over at this course and it’s not hard to find. I played awful today and this course was unforgiving. Challenging and fun. Greens in great shape, some dead spots in the fairway but overall in great shape considering the amount of play it gets.

What happened to this place?
5 hour round. Grass is dead in many places. Naturally course runs to the water on most holes and no rough means ball just rolls and rolls right into the water. Greens are slower than normal. This used to be an amazing and beautiful place.

Keeps you on your toes
Fantastic course for good ball strikers. Nothing too out of the ordinary setup wise. Many holes are target like - hit to a spot to set up your approach shot. Not a lot of trouble anywhere. Hit ‘em well and enjoy the social distancing.

Lost potential
There is nothing special about this place. What initially appears to have nice presentation levels off to nothing more than mediocrity. The course was green as fairways were reasonably well kept, however the rough was generally too rough. This is not a course that would ever host a US Open, so why would you subject your customers to ultra thick and long grass in the rough? Also, there are far too many rocks in the bunkers. All that does is damage clubs and create a dangerous situation by introducing additional projectiles. As for the putting surface, they were mostly kept up but I cannot understand why there was no first cut around them. The line of demarcation was far too severe. You were either on the green or hoping to dig out of the grassy jungle that surrounded the green. Clearly this was not a place that satisfies a true golfer’s needs. You would be best served to pass on this course. Too bad. It certainly has the chance to be good.

Good course
overall the course was in great shape. Fairways and the greens are in geat shape. The only thing I didn't appreciate was there are players playing in between schedule players. For instance I know there were 2some in front of us and all of a sudden there was this lady playing in front of us and she was hitting double shots each time she hits and we had to wait for her to clear. Not very good etiquette and allowing the course to let her play in between schedule teetime.

One of the best courses in Lake County
One of the best golf courses in lake county in my opinion. The staff was super friendly and the greens run true. My only complaint is that their fairways need a bit more upkeep with all of the large divots. Also wish the carts had gps but I will definitely be back this seasons
