Arboretum Golf Club

Great course for being park district owned. Unfortunately only got 9 in due to weather but will be returning for the rain check. Challenging layout where driver is taken out of play frequently. Plenty of water but if you play smart you can avoid it. Difficult greens with a lot of undulation. Lengthy par 3s into some Sunday pin locations. Well maintained and pace of play was decent. Could see it getting busy on a day where the weather is great. Clubhouse is great, little odd to have a sushi restaurant but they also have a full clubhouse menu with dogs and clubs on the menu. No driving range but there virtually bays I believe. For the price I would have liked to see a little more updated carts but can’t complain. For Chicago public golf this is a gem, 8/10 compared to other spots.

My son and I enjoyed playing this course. The green fees were only $45 per person with a cart at 3:45pm on a Thursday. The course was in very good condition. The starter was very friendly. We were new to the course so he gave us a nice detailed booklet that described each hole with detailed diagrams of each hole with distances from the tee to water, bunkers, fairway, etc… We will definitely play here again! Overall, it was great value for the money!

Course was in great shape, group ahead of us was slow but the ranger pushed them.

Front always a challenge when 3 and 5 play long. Didn't have my "A" putting game. Fairways are always in great shape.

Everything was great, just a miss step when I called. I asked if they had a driving range, and was told yes. When I got there an hour early they did not. I was offered to hit into a net or warm up on an indoor simulator. I did choose the simulator. However usually I feel more confident after the range. Not here. It tracked my balls fine but only had me hitting the ball 80 to 120 yards no matter the club. Now I think I'm doing something wrong. Anyway nice coarse beautiful.

Great condition - and very challenging. Played from the blues - a good choice. Pace was ok and the rangers worked at improving this. Overall - a fine experience. Not the golf course’s fault that my game needs work 😄

This course has a lot of water. I am about a 27 handicap, so it was challenging. The pace of play kept up well, even with a few tie-ups at the par 3s.

Busy day. Cart girl ran out of ice, but service was top notch. She returned with two cups of ice. Impressive.

Will not find a better course for the money!! Course was in great shape with tight fairways and loads of water. Greens were challenging but fair.

Excellent difficult course extremely well maintained. Plush fairways. Bring lots of balls for lots of water. Big beautiful sand traps. The only clubhouse restaurant that I know of that is a sushi restaurant. Japanese beer on tap. They also have indoor facilities that seem quite nice.

If u have a water ball grabbing stick you will be set for life on golf balls. Especially all of mine.

Fun course plenty of water. A few of the sand traps were just dirt instead of sand. Not all of them though.

Course was in great shape. Fairways were nice, bunkers were good, and the greens weren’t that bad. The main problem was pace of play. We left after the 13th and we were at 4 hours at that point. We started at 2:30 and left at 6:30 with 5 holes to play.
