Frustrating pin placements
Almost every green on the property slopes drastically from back to front and with the dry conditions we have had in this area, the greens are hard and fast. Yet the greenskeeper continues to place pins on slopes near the front of the green, making it nearly impossible to keep your ball on the green from anywhere other than directly below the hole. And even that sometimes didn't work as one player in our group had a straight, uphill putt stop and roll back to his feet. Will definitely avoid this course in the future.

Nice layout. Elevated tees. Elevated greens. Very fair track for my ability. Nice people in pro shop. Pace was slow but not awful

Fun to play this course
Reasonably short and interesting layout for any amateur golfers

For beginners or seasoned golfers
Fun course with lots of elevation changes. Most fairways are quite wide and not alot of water hazards. No drinking water on course so bring a good size drinking cooler to stay hydrated. Didn’t see a beverage cart until 15. Bring your own gps or rangefinder for accurate distances to the green. Not a easy walkable course due to elevation changes and green to tee distances. Definitely will play again since it cost me only $40 for 18 with cart, hotdog and chips.

Cancellation
I booked this course a month ago and they canceled my reservation twice without notifying me due to their new reservation to have an outing. They at least have to their customers know and be excused but no phone calls or emails.

Disappointing!
Pace of play was very slow and course fairways bumpy and patchy. Will give the benefit of the doubt somewhat due to lack of rain. First time playing and expected better conditions.

Nice Course
Course is in good condition considering that we are in the middle of a drought. Greens a little hard but good shape. Again, no rain. Wide open course. Par 3's are challenging though. Pace of play was good. Can't beat the price.

SLOW
Tee time scheduled for 8:49am on a Saturday but didn’t get off until after 9:15am. We had to wait on every hole and the ranger driving around didn’t do anything about the incredibly slow group 3-4 holes ahead of us holding everyone up. Eventually left after 5 hours since we were only through 12.

Great Sporty Course
I enjoy playing the rolling terrain at Cary Country Club. Several tees are significantly elevated and you get great views of the hilly vistas. Course was in good condition considering the recent drought. Always a fun time to play at Cary.

Great course to improve your game
I love this course in that the layout as well as the pace of play allows me to thoughtfully work on my overall game. I never feel pressure to hurry up and hit, thus rushing through; and at the same time I do not feel that the pace of play ever drags. There are very unique elevations that definitely come into play, with a few greens being blind on your 2nd (or 3rd) shot. Fairways are adequately marked with distance and are usually cut clean. There is no step cut, so it os either fairway or rough. Selfishly, I do not want too many people to know about this gem for fear of over-booking! LOL

Good course
I was pleasantly surprised by this course. It is short but there is a lot of elevation changes which makes for some interesting shots. The course was hard and dry but that was because of the lack of rain. The greens were smooth and quick. The pace of play was not good (we played in about 5 hours and were waiting on every shot). Overall, it was a good day on a fairly nicely maintained course.
