Bumpy
This course is the bumpiest course I have ever played. The course has a nice layout which is challenging but the cart ride from shot to shot needs some work. I enjoyed the changes of play from hole to hole. The course is challenging with a short red tee

Slow Play with Fast sloping green pin placements
I always like playing this course for its layout and good course conditions. This last time, we did have a large pile up of groups coming out of the first nine and through most of the back nine. This is usually not an issue, so I believe there was a group that could’ve been pushed along to avoid this slow play. Another negative that will hopefully not be a constant theme is the hole placements on large slopes. Some greens, it is unavoidable but there were many to today that caused some pretty unfortunate rolls just pass holes that end up 20 feet passed and off the greens. Overall This course is one of the best in the area with great value for the price.

Amazing Value!
This course has quickly become a local go-to. The staff is great, the pace is spread out just enough where you never feel overly rushed or that you are rushing the group in front of you. The pin placements are challenging, while not being club-throwing frustrating!

Views and tee boxes
This course has some fantastic holes where you can see for MILES. Some of the fairways on the lower potion of the layout needs some new grass. I play here about 10-15 times a year. Holes 3, 4 and 5 are always in bad shape. The greens are usually in very good condition. I live over 20 miles away from this course but I don't mind the drive because it's a very fun course. I'ma senior so I like the senior tees but holes 10, 11, and 16 and 18 are way too long for seniors and ladies. More those tee boxes up 30 or 40 years so we can make it to the green with 2 good shots.

This course has some very creative layouts and fun elevations. Pin placement will dictate if you cruise through or cuss through! Overall, it is a fun local course to play.

Rainy Spring Day
It was setting up to be a washout, with rain in the forecast all week and a steady drizzle all morning. We decided to give it a go anyway and I am glad we did. The course was in surprising good condition throughout the entire course. It looks like the club has done some work on drainage and some other parts of the course. Cary Country Club is always a great value and looks to be adding to its quality. Highly recommend this course to any skill level player.
