Gorgeous View on the Second Tee Box Photo submitted by JBlissed on 06/25/2018
Slightly overpriced
Morning round with high winds and wet conditions. Tee boxes are in horrible condition, with a couple being almost unplayable. Most if not all tee boxes are very shaggy and many have large dead spots. This seems like an issue that still hasn’t been addressed since last year. Ball washers have not been put out yet, which was very annoying for a muddy course. There are many areas on the course that are under repair, with significant amounts of ground dug up, exposing underground plumbing.
Course layout is very fun. The course does a great job of utilizing elevation changes to make for some fun holes. Greens and fairways were generally in good condition.
$50 for a weekday morning seems like a bit much for the current condition of the course.
Tee Boxes need work
I know it's early in the season but a number of the tee boxes were in horrible condition - with mostly dirt and some see and little grass. Greens were decent, not great but slightly better than average for this time of year. While the tee boxes didn't impact play, it did not make it very appealing. For the price I paid I could have played another course in the same town that I know is in much better condition.

Not bad for mid-October, but brutal greens
Took advantage of a mild Oct day to play one of the last rounds of the year. It was very windy and the greens were lightning fast. To make matters worse, the pins were in some unfair positions. I lost count of the 3 and 4 putts for our group. The sand traps were a mess and the rough and some of the tee boxes were nothing but hard dirt (due to 2 months of drought in the Chicago area). So we played "winter rules" and moved the ball when necessary. No cart girl and no drinking water on the course. It was a 4 1/2 hour round, but still nice to get out.
Slow as a Snail
4:45 round on a Thursday? Course conditions were poor, I get it’s October but the whole course was like cement. Layout is fun but not when great tee shots bounce and run out into the woods.
Elevated Tee boxes
I love this course. The view from some of the elevated tees are magnificent. I live 30 miles from this course but it's worth the trip every time I play here.
The course is in great shape.
I enjoyed playing golf with my family.
The pace of play was also good.
Slow slow slow
No rangers to keep golfers on schedule. 4 hole back up starting on #4. 6 hours to play 18 is just not right. Spend your money somewhere else.
