Nice Local 9-Hole Course
Well maintained, fun course to play. A few challenging holes (#'s 4, 5 & 9). It was a Sunday morning, so pace of play was what we expected. Helpful Ranger (found 1 of our lost irons!). Enjoyed a couple of beers out on the deck afterwards!
Great course, hidden gem.
Course is always in great shape. Greens are fast. Tee boxes sometimes need some help. Challenge is perfect for the 12-18 handicap. Might be a bit easy for lower caps (I wouldn't know, I"m a 15). Most of the staff are friendly on the course. Bartenders are awesome! COVID has caused the kitchen to not open, so that sucks. You can usually walk on but it's easy enough to make a tee time. Enjoy!
all
been golfing there since it was an 18 hole course and then a 12 hole course { Maple Crest } .Countryside and Pleasant Dale Park district have done a very good job with the course , grounds , club house , etc. Great place to get nine holes in . If you have not been there , put it on your short list .
Fun little course
This course is great practice and it's nice that it has at least one par 5.
Perfect for beginners
Flagg creek is a very nice, well kept course. It is challenging, but not too difficult, and not too long. My son (13) who doesn't hit the ball very far, likes this course a lot. Highly recommend if you have younger, or beginner golfers, or if you just want to get a quick 9 on a nice course.
My favorite 9-hole course to play at, ruined by a horrible staff experience
Let me start by saying I have been playing at Flagg Creek for most of my young adult life. This is the place where my buddies and I learned how to golf. Going out for a twilight round, hitting the range, hitting balls into the water on the 4th hole. I have a lot of love for this course, and have played it (around) 25 times, and have loved each of those rounds.
Unfortunately, this all seemed to go out the window this past Saturday, when we were treated like children by a starter who attempted to put words in our mouths regarding our treatment of her staff, and questioned our own sanity to try and save her own image of herself.
My buddies and I went out (the six of us) at two different tee times, one after the other. We were never planning to play as a six-some, as that would’ve severely slowed down play. The rain started to fall after our first hole drives, so we had to evacuate. We sAt in our cars to wait it out, and eventually came back to the (now mostly empty) course to start our round again. Since it was so empty, we asked the starter if the six of us could all just tee of together, and she said yes. So off we went, and were playing at a decent pace until we were eventually caught up to by a single player, who we agreed with the ranger to let play through. The ranger helped us along the way, making sure that our day of golf wasn’t ruined by the pace of play, the weather, etc. In fact, he moved us BACK a few holes, and actually allowed us to play a few extra, which we all appreciated greatly.
Two holes later, things began to take a turn for the worse. The same ranger who we had been speaking with throughout the round came up to us to explain that the Starter had “not authorized us to leave the first hole as a six-some”, even though she did. Her cart came screaming down the path towards us, and when she arrived she began to call us liars, and accused us of mincing her words and disgracing her good name (granted we saw this woman for about 5 minutes at the very start of the round, and that’s it).
After she was done chewing us out (as well as not letting us explain ourselves whatsoever) she let us go on our way, and we split up into groups of 4 and 2 (which we offered to do from the start, and the other ranger had told us that 6 would be ok).
Just an awful awful experience at a place I have loved for years, and will no longer be coming back to.
If you end up going to Flagg, make sure that you check with the starter at least 5-10 times before you begin your round that you and your friends are ok to go out on the course. If not, she’ll treat you like a child. As all of my buddies and I are recent high school grads, we felt so terrible about it all.
Hello again Flagg,
Appreciate the half hearted reply to my review of course. I’ve now read countless reviews of the course, many simply based around the terrible treatment that your Starter gives to golfers, acting like it’s a privilege that anyone is allowed to relax and play a round of golf at her course. If you actually want to make a real improvement for some of your younger customers, possible hire a starter that has the ability to treat everyone with respect.

Really great course
Went golfing with a friend and we had a really great time. Super nice and a good challenge for us! Gonna play this course a bunch now that I know how great it is.
Flagg Creek
Nice course, quick round, course in excellent condition. Courteous, friendly staff.
Enjoy the course but the pace is bad
We were paired with another 2 people. It seemed like we were going right behind someone else and others were right behind us. We were constantly playing catch up and slowing down. Couldn't enjoy our time this time around.

Really enjoyed
Great course. Everything was well kept staff was helpful since it was our first time here. Likes the little driving range right next to the 1st hole. Got there early and had plenty of time to take some practice shoots and putt around.
Great Course
Great course to play for a nine hole course there are lots of challenging holes. The course is extremely well maintained.
