Slow
It started when we got there for our tee time. We were told that they were all out of carts and had to wait until some came off of the couse. After waiting until 15 minutes after our tee time, carts finally came in and we were able to proceed. The carts that came in had no operational GPS and the pickup was non-existent. Once we got out on the course, we had to wait on every single hole. We ended up taking over 5 hours to play. This is not the first time we have had this experience at Turnberry. One time could be a bad day but this seems like it is something that is a regular occurrence. Kind of a shame because I like the course. Won't be going back any time soon.
It’s not the old Turnberry
Proshop is empty. They didn’t have enough golf carts so we had to wait. The staff tried to make up for the accommodations. It’s not the old club.
We love Turnberry
We try to play Turnberry at least 8 to 10 times a season. It is a challenging course, But not so difficult it's unhitable. The greens were a nice solid green and not overly fast but well maintained.
Really nice Layout
Only negatives are the tee boxes are pretty tore up and the driving range isn’t a driving range
Beautiful Turnberry
This golf course is in great shape. They have improved everything tremendously in last two years. Its my favorite golf course and I play here regularly.
Condition not worthy of Layout
This is a wonderful golf course and worth playing even if condition is not so great and amenities were non-existent when we were there.
Canadian Geese
The course is in great shape and we love playing here, but they may want to consider getting lasers to detour the hundreds of Canadian geese that they have on the back nine. We recently played a course who uses this system and they have no geese!
Poorly Run, going downhill
This is a great layout, in decent condition. No range balls at 9am on a Sunday? Had to wait for a cart to come off the course for our tire time? Should have saved the money on the fancy addition to the driving range and invested in actual range balls, staff, or carts
Course condition
First, you have to figure out where the golf shop is because there is poor signage to direct you. you have to walk down an asphalt paved path with holes that should have been replaced several years ago. Range ball machine charged my credit card but was empty and I had to notify employee.
Golf carts were gas powered and had GPS which was good.
No starter at 1st tee. No information about pin placement.
Bar staff was very nice. Drink cart staff also.
Course was average. The ground was very hard.
