Legacy in Granite City
Nice peaceful course. Good pace of play. Staff members were friendly. I will definitely return in the future.
Great Value Course
Course is in great shape, and great value when it's less than $30 for 18 & a cart. Staff is friendly, tee times are honored, pace of play has been good each time I've been there. Can't say enough good things about this place, just wish it was closer to St Louis area!
Exceptional Greens
Very nice staff greeted me in the club house, best greens I’ve rolled in a long time. Fairways were a little dry but it hasn’t rained in a while

Best greens I’ve played this year! Overall course was a good shape. The roughs were pretty long, but it had been raining the days Pryor. Greens were the best part, fast and true
Fairways and rough
Today was a very good round of golf, the weather was perfect, the greens were also in very good condition, However, the rough and also the fairways needs to be mowed badly. It's not a good thing to hit many fairways today and still looking for golf balls and heaven forbid getting in the rough. They need mowed in the worse way. I understand we have had a lot of rain, so, Cart path only was understandable, but at least level that off by mowing both, rough and fairway. Due to Covid 19 most amenities were closed, staff was very friendly also. Overall was a good day of golf at this course.

Booked on golf now.com for 20 dollars per player special , when i got to course it was raised to 35 , we walked out.
The course has potential.
The layout of the course is really nice. Unfortunately, it appears as if the course greens keeper has taken too many days off. The height of the rough is ridiculously long and some of the fairways appeard to not have been cut in weeks!. We nearly lost shots that were in the center of the fairways on four holes. I've played this course a few times years ago, so I know how good the course can look. It has the potential to be one of the courses considered a gem in the area, but right now its considered a very green dogtrack of a course. Honestly it just needs a little more effort from the greens crew.

Very nice for the $
Staff did an excellent job preparing the course after a day of all rain , it was a little chilly the morning we golfed but after the sun burned away the fog and overcast the sunshine revealed a beautiful manicured course with excellent playing conditions despite having a all day rain the previous day . Nice course for your money and a very friendly staff , i recommend this course to all skill levels of golfers

Slow play and lousy fairways
Very disappointed, Had 1105 tee time.but didn’t start until 1145. Very slow play, in fact over 5hrs, gave up and left on 16th. Fairways not that good shape.

Great course, great value!
I’ve played this course a few times, and it’s always been in great shape. The greens were good, if a little slow and spongy. I really enjoy playing here

One of the better courses in the area. Greens are always good.
Know your etiquette
I would like to start this review by saying this course is one of my favorites. The staff is always friendly, and the greens are some of the best I have played on.
With that said in my round on Friday I had my worst experience at this course. It was so bad the grounds keepers even said something to me.
I teed off on the back 9, and I was playing solo. Something I like doing as a warm up for playing with my buddies on the weekend. I was through the first hole in a matter of minutes. Tee’d off on 11 and there was a 3 some in front of me. I nearly drove the green from the tips. Walk up to my ball and the whole group looks back at me. They clear the green on the par 4 so I take my approach shot and two put out.
The group of three in front of me takes notice but continues to play their tee shot from the par 3. I wait on them continuously for the entire back 9. Shoot the distance of the stick while they are clearing the green, but somehow manage to get a dirty look from the old man in the group.
The moral of the story here is know your etiquette, let the solo’s play through.
Repair your ball marks too. This course has some of the best greens in the area but I spent a great majority of my round repairing the marks of the group in front of me. If you can’t afford a $10 divot tool golf is the wrong sport for you.
