Solid 9 hole course
Solid course, a little difficult but the conditions are good. Greens need some work though
Good course, some tough holes but well kept
A little too expensive for a 9 hole but golf everywhere has been expensive. Very nice conditions and greens.
Need a Ranger
I was behind a slow group and in front of a group of speed walkers. Combine that with people not staying in their lane or not watching before they crossed fairways. Got to the point where I drove in on the 7th hole.
Awesome course
River Bend is an awesome course. I will say they book up pretty solid and its a fairy long course and a bit of a challenging course so play is always slow, expect 3-3.5 hours to play 9 holes.
They're also big on you being prompt and on time, like most courses should be but if you have friends who can't show up on time for tee times not the course for you. Not knocking them for it but this isn't your dumpy park district course where anything goes, probably not a good place for speakers or being late, more of a serious course.
Course is challenging, lots of water and marshes, always well kept and the bar and patio that overlooks the first tee is a great place to get drinks after your round, $1 wings between like 11 and 3
It's a long 9 hole course which is a nice change. Only 3 holes under 180yards. All the rest are driver holes. One par 3 has a pond in front of the flag stick makes for a nice challenge and really gets you to know your club distance to clear the pond. Great course very slow at 3 o'clock. Was perfect
Excellent for a good 9
I love golfing here. The price is right for the size you play. Love playing the par 5's here. Brought a few friends for their first time here. They love coming back. Course is always well kept. The staff are very friendly. Just got a new restaurant in there. The food is really good. Always worth coming to.
River Bend Course Rating
Even though the scorecard includes the course rating and slope for the various tees, when I tried to post my score on the CDGA handicap site, I was told River Bend’s rating was not valid. The management of the course needs to work with CDGA to get that corrected. Otherwise it’s a nice layout and good value for walking seniors.
I really like River Bend!
The staff are extremely friendly and the course was worth the cost. It's a good value for what you pay. I look forward to going back!
Pace of play was horrible felt completely rushed
The pace of play was unbelievable horrible. People behind us were hitting balls off the tee box when we were in the fairway. Seemed like they over packed the course. Just never a good experience when you’re being rushed and even worse experience when it’s a 3 hour and 45 minute round of 9 holes.
First time
Friendly staff, great course and I will recommend this course to all my friends.
Excellent course
A fun 9 that had it all! Couple par 3s but mostly 4s and 5s, really fun hole layouts that weren't too difficult to play for us beginners
