Chick Evans Golf Course

I will never play here again. My party was harassed by the staff member at tee #1 who had accused us of bringing outside alcohol on the course simply because we had a backpack. He tried to search our bag because he said that my playing partner made a 'face'. This staff member didnt search anyone elses bags (I was watching) and didn't search any golf bags (which hold beverages as well). He singled us out and then tried to search our personal belongings.

This same staff member also unreasonably enforced a rule the course has to not allow 3 golf carts in a single party to one of the guests that was in front of us. However, the party behind us was allowed to have 3 golf carts. I feel like the staff member had a certain ethnicity of patron he was focusing on.

In addition to this sub par display of customer service, the pace of play was terrible. They dont spread out the tee times far enough and you end up with patrons hitting golf balls behind you 10 feet from your lie. Dismal golf course, save your money and play somewhere nicer, I know I will.

This is a shorter course, so keep that in mind. It's great for mid-level golfers. Well kept too. No sand, but more than enough water hazards. Overall, a nice course for the money.

First time playing. As a high handicap, I found this course enjoyable. No sand hazards. The tee boxes were. A little rough but not too bad. Greens and fairways were nice. Pace of play was a little slower but it was a busy Saturday with a slow group in front. Played after torrential rains and greens were good despite some water in the cups.

One hole has power lines that are pretty slow and next to a busy road without much protection, but other than that, pretty wide fairways.

First 18 played this year. Power towers passing thru course are distracting, but I loved the challenge of Hole #3 even though I played it horribly. Great scenery & overall value for the money. Glad I walked it & exercised my irons. but carting next time. I will be back again.
