I’ll be back!
Although it’s not the longest course, Oakbrook GC requires accuracy. Several holes have ponds on both sides of the fairway, and it’s not uncommon to have the fairway make a 90-degree turn in wither direction. Sadly, difficult pin placements resulted in five 3-putts.
That’s okay. I’ll be back and will putt better next time.

Greens crazy
The greens were in good shape but there is literally no flat areas for pin placement. Very tough to put even inside 8 feet.
Rangers
I forgot to mention in my prior review -- the course has a ranger who drives around but never tells any groups that they're slow and need to hurry up. That's my only isse with Oak Brook.
Never dissapointed at this golf course.
Been playing here since I learned the game in 1980. This course never let me down. It always met my expectations from the staff people to the track itself.
Course is always in great shape.
The fairways are wide but the greens are very tricky with difficult pin placements

They should add a practice bunker with a green to theor practice area. Then it would be perfect.
This course is well maintained at all the time

Could use a ranger on the course
There were a group of foreigners in front of us that were playing slow, they should have let us pass them but they didn't speak too good of English and I don't believe its my job to inform them that they should let us pass them, there should be a ranger on the course that rides around periodically. Other then that the course, the staff and the practice accommodations are lovely!
Good course, good condition, nice bar
The course was in good condition and has an interesting layout. The restaurant/bar is good; nice selection of food and beverage. Friendly staff.
Oak Brook golf club
The course played really nice despite 15-20 mph winds. The layout isn’t terribly tough. But the greens and the pin placement is the work of the devil! Not a flat green on the course and somehow the cups end up on the top of hill or crest. But we loved it. Go play Oak Brook. You won’t be sorry.
