Oak Brook Golf Club

From the very start to the end the play was so very very slow. This should not happen as it means they are overbooking tee times. There were zero yard markers so that made it difficult. I like the staff as they were friendly and they even mentioned that the course is overplayed. As a result it was not in the best of condition

The pace of play was incredibly slow. We finally quit after four hours and 13 holes played - there are no yard makers and the course is in fair but not great condition- there are better values out there

The driving range closest to the clubhouse was in terrible condition. It should not have been open. Pace of play was slow. You need to invest in GPS for your carts. Would speed up pace. I like the layout and from the back tees the park 3s and 5s were challenging distance.

Layout off the tee challenging and the greens have lots of action . You must roll the rock . This course will tell you where your game is . Not the longest but very nice layout

Obviously its a very public track that gets play from all types of golfers. But they book tee times 7-8 minutes apart from one another and they don't enforce pace of play unless you personally call in the reinforcements. Its a relatively short track, should not take longer than 4 hours at the long end to play, but yesterday it took nearly 5. Their tee sheets almost always full, I really think they would benefit from cutting out a few tee times and make them at least 10 minutes apart. At $53 to walk on a weeknight, pace of play should not be a massive issue, it unfortunately is. Staff is great, greens are tricky, and overall course is in good condition for how much play it gets. Oak brook if you see this, please separate tee times by 10 minutes.

We were able to book 18 holes. Once we get there, staff was like we have 2 leagues going and we will squeeze you between and ‘you ll be lucky to play 9 holes.’

I asked why did you let us book 18 then, answer was ‘I dont know how online works and why it let you do that’

They charged us for 9 though.

We all said we would come back to Oak Brook. The greens rolled true, not fast but fun. The rough was, well, rough! if you were off the fairway , it was tough to find your ball, I would like to think that it's because of the recent rains. Staff was friendly, although the ranger pushed us when there was no one behind us for 3 holes. Overall, not bad for the price we paid.

Arrived 20 min bf tt . Told there were not going tobe carts ready until last minute. Ok no problem. The staff getting carts did a great job and worked hard to get us a cart . Pulled up to starter & he starts giving us grief about being 1 minute late!!!!! We were waiting for our cart!!! We tee of and after the fist hole we get to 2nd hole tee box and there are 2 sets of foursomes waiting to tee off. What the heck is with that starter! We waited on EVERY Single Hole!

If you hit fairways off the tee and keep the ball below the hole, you can score well!

Oak Brook was in its normal excellent condition other then the extra long tough. Greens had no ball marks and rolled smooth and fast.

Course layout is fun, just wish they had GPS or a GPS app available to use. Might help speed up their pace of play issues out there. Manageable with a rangefinder, but would be more enjoyable with GPS (YamaTrack works great at other courses in the Chicago area).
