Nice course- but pace of play was a challenge
I enjoy this course. However, the rangers were not receptive to the slow play in front of us. We asked them at least two times to push a group ahead of us who had 2 holes in front of them and were treating each green like it was the Masters. Could’ve been easy to fix but they had zero interest. 2:40 on the back nine is nuts and it was all because they wouldn’t mention it to them at the turn.
I do hope it is a rare occurrence rather than the norm because there is a lot to like about the course and their facilities. I’m not discouraging anyone from playing in the future. But if you experience the same thing, don’t expect much from the rangers. Just approach the group and see if it works.
Good Experience
Pace of play was brutal. I guess there was an outing before we tee’d off.
Great Course
Tried this on whim - looking for new courses proximate to downtown. Was very pleasantly surprised at quality of course and level of maintenance! Will be back for sure
Good course
I play this course most times I am in the area.Always in good condition!
nice course on a beautiful day
This course was in great shape. The greens were fast, yet receptive and the fairways were excellent. The track was easy to manuever for a first timer. The greens were some of the best I have played this season with good speed and lots of undulation/break. The front nine was a little slow, but the pace picked up on the back and we finished at about a 4:30 pace on a Sunday afternoon
Ranger Should Have Engaged
Generally, solid course - good conditions; good staff. However, at 1st hole, the ranger told that the foursome in front of us, which are members of the public course and were walking might be slow, and he would ensure they were pushed along. Well, he was right. They were slow and they backed up three foursomes yet the ranger did nothing about it. The ranger was no where to be found on the back nine when things got really backed up. Poor ranger management. Very frustating.
Slow Playing Course
I have played this course several times over the past few years. I never expect it to be a quick round. However, yesterday, it was unbearably slow. We had only planned to play nine and quit after six holes. There were two groups in front of us that were together and they were incredibly slow. They played from the white tees. On the first tee box, one guy actually hit the ball six times before he got past the forward tees (and I don’t mean six mulligans…each time he hit the ball, it went 5-10 feet). The starter did go and talk to him; however; that only helped on the first hole. After that, we did not see a ranger. Earlier this year, we had a six hour round on the weekend (typically on the weekend it’s 4.5-5 hours). While I love being out on a golf course, I have other things to do on my weekends as well. There are just too many people who don’t understand pace of play. Every group should be reminded before they start and the course needs 2 rangers on the weekends - one for the front nine and one for the back nine.
The course is nice, the greens are challenging, and the staff is fantastic.
Greens difficult Pin placements were challenging but that's good
They give you a phone number to call at the 9th hole to order food so it is ready then they put you on hold to take care of bar customers first which by the time she got back we were done with the 9th hole. Stupidity!!!!
