Palos Country Club

Enjoyed the latest round at Palos Country Club. Course was in good shape and the fall colors were seen everywhere. Hope to get out a few more times before the weather turns. As always the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Haven't played here since they went to 9 from 18 (many years ago). Jumped on, on a whim and was glad I did. Clubhouse attendant was friendly and helpful. Course was clean and in pretty decent shape (lots of rain recently, so some bunkers washed out, standing water in spots). The layout is fun and pretty challenging for a 9-hole. Plenty of water, lots of rolling hills. Really enjoyed playing there.

I have played Palos several times in the last couple years and this is a challenging but playable course. The layout is great. The staff is very friendly. They are great with junior golfers too. My kids enjoy playing here.

Once it was a great course, but now they are letting it go to ruin. People that work there are friendly.

Awesome course with great layout. Tough holes but very playable. Loved it for the price

The course is very challenging. A lot of water and bunkers to contend with. It’s not in the best shape though. Need bunker maintenance. Overall it was a good experience!

Always enjoy playing at Palos Country Club. Pace of play lately leaves a lot to be desired. Would help if more players would play “ready golf” or at least let faster less than foursomes play through. Last couple times playing here had to skip over holes to get ahead of groups taking a half an hour to play one hole. Love the Hot Deals prices here. Will be back, hopefully being able to play a full 9.

Tee boxes, greens and fairways were all poor and torn up!there was no starter and course ranger to speed up game play. When 2 groups is women who played in front of were hitting 3 balls a piece and taking picture (selfies)on tee boxes

A beer cart would be very nice to have going around. Maintenance if the course could use attention. Piles of grass shavings in areas, and the greens do not give much break at all

I golfed this course 22+ times last year. I like to call this course my “summer backyard.” It’s not too easy especially hole 9. The staff is awesome and respects their returning customers. They like to get to know you and show they care you are there. It’s not as expensive as courses surrounding it. If you decide to go around again it’s only 17 dollars more, meaning it’s only 50 dollars to play 18. Plus they have different tee boxes for the “back” 9 which for some holes changes how you swing off the tee box. The nature you see there is beautiful and probably my favorite part. There are many different types of trees that make it scenic. Plus due to the water that runs through the middle, and a couple other water spots, you see a lot of animals. I have seen swans, turtles, beavers, geese, raccoons, ducks, deer, frogs, fish, and many MANY types of birds. Heck I’ve even seen coyotes! (Don’t worry they don’t come near you). Yes the course is in rough shape but it’s playable and they put a lot of their money back into it to make it look nice, and it shows. Go here for a relaxing scenic golf game.
