Good course but........
Course conditions were good however cart path only was a complete hassle. Better to walk. Also we did not know cart path only until we were in the middle of the first hole. Tell us before we tee off. This created a huge back up on the course. We played the south. Cannot get in a rhythm to play by waiting 10 min to tee off every hole. 5 hours to play and the new price is 88.00. Not going back.
Early season conditions but was not to bad
Always enjoy playing an old tradition style course like this
Great
Corse was in great condition. Plus pace of play was awesome
Men’s league before is super slow
The men’s league prior had four 4somes backed up at 9. Ranger said nothing he can do about their pace. Then he came by on hole 14 around 755 and said carts have to be in by 8. We had a 3:56 tee time and it took over 2.5 hours for the first 8 holes. They need to have earlier tee time cut off for the league.
Players not cleaning up their divots
The greens had a ton of divots we had a later tee time so that makes sense. However the fact that so many people hit the greens but didn’t take the time clean up their divots was a bit frustrating. Trying to navigate the greens which otherwise were super well maintained. We were behind a women’s league so they moved us around the course so we could get a full 18 in.
Good course to play
Didn’t get to finish the last hole because the pace of play was slower than normal. Ranger was being extra and yelling at us even though there could’ve been time to finish play. It’ll be a while before I decide to come back or not.
Amazing course, horrible management
Course was beautiful and in amazing condition. If you can play with no-one around you at peak time it would be up there for Chicago-land courses in my opinion. The pace of play was horrific for a Monday at 4pm, members will not let you play through and starter just lets people rip off right behind groups 7 minutes apart. All snack huts were closed and no beverage cart available. Would not go back for how crowded it was alone… it was really that bad.
Terrible tee time management
Showed up to the first tee 10 minutes before our tee time to see 4 groups ahead of us still waiting to tee off on hole 1. No need to say more
Well maintained.
Credit to the course superintendent for the quality work keeping up the greens, fairways and tee boxes. Most courses are struggling with burnout conditions this time of year. Not this one.
