Deer Creek Golf Club

Thought I had played here before but did not, I will again. Overall pretty good shape, few down trees but that's everywhere in the Chicago area, they weren't really in play anyway. Place of play was pretty good for a Sunday. I'll definitely go back.

Coarse is nice, the bunkers need a lot of work. the every 5 minutes tee time is brutal it’s a 5 hour round lots of down time.

Tee to green, the grass was great. However, ALL of the bunkers were hard as a rock with many having weeds growing inside of them. The bunkers were simply unplayable.

Greens, fairways and tees all in nice shape. Traps were filled with dirt on many holes, not sand. Pace of play was a little slow, almost 5 hr. round. Was a good test of golf and very fair.

If you go on certain times you can play 18 holes for 30 bucks in 3ish hours. The course has some pretty open fairways and a couple challenging dog legs. All the par 3s have OB areas in front of the green which makes them some of the harder holes (for me)

Even if your a good player or new this course is not the easiest but it’s not the hardest the sights and layout is very fun definitely recommend for anyone in the area
