Balmoral Woods Country Club

Played here many times these past few years. The weather has been dry this summer but the course conditions today were just awful. Would blame it on the weather but it’s clear they are not planning to keep this course in the shape it used to be in. So sad because it has a good layout and fun to play.

I used to love playing this course. Sorry to report that they are not taking care of this course anymore. Hope someone buys it and turns it around or this course will be unplayable in another year or two.

I like everything about this course but it can be very slow. On a Tuesday we were approaching five hours after 16 holes and left. The other two guys we were with left on the 8th hole. I think it was overbooked. They needed someone to speed things up. I saw other carts leaving too

This course has a nice layout and good greens. The problem is every time I come to play here they have some issue that causes pace of play to become unreasonably slow. This round I called before coming due to earlier rain to make sure they would let carts out. They said yes cart path only. They also told me they had a small outing that was delayed due to the weather. I asked if I should come later than my 1 pm tee time and was told no they had many cancellations and it would be fine. I arrived and had to wait an hour to tee off then we were behind the outing so the round with the delay to tee off was close to six hours to long and to slow I am not sure if I will ever visit this course again

Terrible at best. The rough was like a sponge. Couldn't even find your ball..... The dog leg is like a 90° angle. The gulf carts are way outdated and slow and the parking brake was worn out so it was impossible to park on a slope because of the terrible layout this course has.!!!! I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Played on a weekday morning and a grounds keeper confronted one of our foursome for driving on a fairway on a hole that was cart path only. Our partner apologized and the employee started swearing at him before throwing him out. Following the round I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding this individuals conduct and was confronted by the same employee. He stated he was the boss and “there’s no one above me”. The employee acknowledge the incident and stated “what’s that got to do with me?” When I again asked for a supervisor he stated he was calling the police. A separate group in the parking lot saw the incident and stated they’ve had similar problems with this employee. Course was also in terrible shape prior to this incident. Save your money and golf elsewhere.

Really need to work on their drainage. Cart path only but everywhere was swampy. Huge puddles in bunkers. Tee boxes not in great shape. Greens best part of course this round. Everything else was below average.

Always have a good time playing this course. A challenge but fair. Great layout
