Great Course
If you're an avid golfer and you want a good golf experience, not a hang out spot, but a good golf experience for the price, this is the place for you. The course is in great condition, challenging but fair, and the staff is respectful to everyone.
GREAT COURSE GREAT PRICE
this is great place to play and the price for weekend rates are on the best one you can find. The course is in real good shape
Hidden gem with value and challenge
I've played this course many times over the last 20 years, but took a 10 year hiatus due to poor course conditions. On this visit, you could visably see the effort the greenskeeper has made to turn this course around. For a high volume public course, the greens rolled true, the bunkers decently manicured, and a challenge to play. As a 8 hdcp, I look for a fair challenge and this course provides it especially from the tips. The final 4 holes force you to hit golf shots if you want to post a great score. Deer Creek is a hidden gem at a fair price in the south suburbs.
The only downfall is the pro shop and clubhouse. Not enough options and the bar is not inviting to keep you around after the round.
challenging greens
The greens are very fast and challenging. For the cost, you can't beat it..
Terrible Customer Service
Made a tee time, could not make tee time due to car troubles. GolfNow charged me $120 even though it specficially said pay when I show up. I never golfed and manager refused to refund the round.
Only One Thing Wrong
It was a bit muddy, so our balls & clubs got dirty fast, but when I went to wash them there was no water in the washers. (most of them anyway). I think out of probably 5, we actually stopped long enuf to do so, only 1 had water in it.
I did like the course a lot tho; I think that was at least our 3Rd time playing there?
Thanx for asking,
Kathy
Great value.
This course charged half of what others nearby were charging to play golf on a Saturday morning. You get a lot of bang for your buck at this place. The closing three holes are a real challenge.
Nice layout friendly staff
Aside from the sand traps not being freshened up, this course was really nice to shoot. Great layout, greens ware just about perfect! Great time for the price !!
Deer Creek
Deer Creek is a very nice course in great shape for a good price. The only drawback is it is very far south in the Chicagoland area.
nice layout
Holes had some variety: uphill and down, left and right doglegs, occasional water left and right. Sandtraps were often on both sides of fairway near normal tee shot range.
Nice course
This course is good for the average golfer. affordable
Great course for the money!
Course was in pristine condition for being the middle of November, better than most courses in the middle of summer. I paid$10 for 18 holes with a cart! I would highly recommend this course!
Great course, great people. And, it's cheap.
It's the middle of November and they had a full crew of grounds people taking care of the course. That is why this course always looks so nice. The staff are always super nice. And, they are open year round if it warms up a bit.
Nice Course
This is a very nice course, and fun to play. The price for this deal was awesome, and can't beat the fact that I live across the street lol.
Hidden Gem
I never even knew this course existed. Very friendly staff. Course was challenging but not overwhelming. Course was in very good shape.
This course is terrible
I play a lot of golfnow deals and this is the first time I've felt I paid way too much for the course... 25 bucks for a Sunday and it was a 5 hour round through the 15 holes we played before we had to leave. The course was in terrible condition and there was no staff to speak of to help keep up the rate of play. If you don't care about the course conditions and you can find it for under 10 bucks on a weekday when there aren't 3 groups on each hole play it (but I wouldn't).
Great Value
Good course with several challenging holes at a great value. Played weekend morning and good pace of play. Will play again.
Quality course for the money
I happened to get out on a weekday when it wasn't busy at all and played at my own pace never waiting the entire round. Played 18 holes in just about 3 hrs. Greens roll nice, the course is green despite a dry summer. It provides a challenge with 3 sets of tees. Play the tips at almost 7,000 yards. Fairly open but plenty of water and OB trouble can get you if you're wild. Love this course and play it often.
Rained out
Tried to get out, but was rained out, but money was redeemed, told I'd have to call golf now for refund of per person fee, wanted a rain c heck and was a little disappointed they wouldn't accommodate , but it was fine I guess, didn't like losing the nearly $8 in fees though.
very well maintained course with very friendly staff and great prices
For a middle of the week, middle of the day great golf value I would recommend giving this course a try.
