Flooded
Carts don’t have GPS and yardage markers and USGA markers on tees are hard to find, if they exist. If no GPS put some more markers with correct distance!
It’s fun and inexpensive, I’ll remember to bring my range finder next time
I'll be back
Haven't played Midlane in a long while, but decided to play it now. Overall, this course could use some much needed TLC, but at least the fairways and greens were in decent condition. I'll give it another try for sure.
OK
I realize weather has been impactful but other aspects have been ignored. Simple items like a cart path falling apart. Tee boxes in poor shape. Golf carts with ripped seats. Course needs a lot of TLC
Rough
Pros: Fairways are ok, nice signage, on going repairs
Cons: Cart-paths are brutal, really needs some TLC, not a $69 course more like $49
Course flooded greens were in bad shape
Putting green destroyed overall course in terrible condition. Very sad this course used to be a gem. Will not play again
Just Horrible
The was no mention of the coarse being flooded before setting a tee time. At the coarse I was told to play 1-4 and the jump to the back 9 because of flooding. The rest of the coarse was long GRAS. Never lost so many balls in play in all my life. What a disappointment.
OK
The front 9 can't handle any rain/water. Conditions were ok on the back but the front was in rough shape. The back is also a better design so it was like playing a different course. Food is good and the staff were really nice but it was pretty slow out there.
It's a fun course for a game though, and the price isn't bad.
Really going downhill
Course in poor condition. Losing trees to beavers, losing fairways to flooding. No drinking water on course on a 90 degree day, cart girl was out of water. Hopefully someone buys this place and returns it to what it used to be but I won’t be back.
Course was flooded and would never have driven an hour to play a course with this many compromised holes , large roped off areas made it very difficult to manage the course
Hate that they take your money without being upfront about course conditions…..too bad it’s a cool challenging track
Jeff
Course would have gotten a higher rating if not for course conditions on about 4 holes in the front nine. Rains created some really unpleasant conditions
They’re Trying Hard
The staff was great, bartender excellent, and weather somehow cooperated. They just can’t fix the drainage on 6, and it’s bleeding over to 7. At least a good drive on 7 clears the swamp but there’s almost nowhere to hit a drive on 6. It’s still a solid layout, fairways in good shape and greens are decent. Sadly, like all public courses, too many people just don’t fix ball marks. I try to get 2-3 per hole. Bunkers aren’t great and some are really bad, but that’s not too different than a lot of courses. Cart paths are in bad shape, but doesn’t really impact much.
This course is what you pay for
While I do not find the course bad, there could be a lot more effort into cleaning and maintaining the course itself. Trees down, fairways almost completely submerged most of the year, cart path needs a lot of attention. That being said it’s a suitable course for the price.
Water damage to a number of holes on the front nine
Greens in good condition
Qualified bargain
Sixteen of the eighteen holes were excellent, the other two were soggy & muddy. The area had gotten a lot of rain and the management warned us about the two holes in question, along with the traps that were also hit hard by the rain. That said, for the $30 Hot Deal that we used it was an incredible bargain. The rest of the course was immaculate... perfect greens, closely mown fairways, well manicured tee boxes, etc. The staff is super friendly and you can drive the cart out to your car in the lot. We will definitey be going back, and I'm sure once it stops raining around here those two holes will improve.
