About
Mystic Oak Golf Course in Waterloo has a diverse layout that seems to play a little differently each time you're on it. The layout features long, winding fairways and gently sloping greens, which are framed by a slew of strategically placed bunkers. There are also many water hazards that come into play throughout the golf course. The gently rolling terrain has subtle ups and downs that provide tricky uneven lies. The back nine is uniquely divided into three par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each. The golf course will test your short-game skills but the lengthy par 5s offer driving opportunities for long hitters as well. Mystic Oak Golf Course is player friendly enough for a wide range of skill levels but you may be surprised to find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

Slow Motion on a Friday!
Could have been ideal had the pace of play been acceptable. Absolutely crazy that we were at the 3 hour point in our round with only 11 holes complete on a Friday late morning/early afternoon! We ended up leaving after seeing a minimum of 2 groups on every tee, 13 had at least 4! What is the point of PAYING a marshall to drive around if he is not going to monitor pace of play and make SINGLES join with 2 or 3 somes? This would never fly in a real golfing area like FL/SC/AZ. After returning our carts, we could see the marshalls cart still parked at the clubhouse, guess Happy Hour started early!
Challenging rolling course
The course layout is a great, challenging length and some short par 3's.
We had to play the front 9, 2x because of league.
Beautiful Course
Love this course. It has some challenging holes. Beautiful scenery.
Searching for a home course
The course was in decent condition. Front greens were nice back was still coming in.farways were ok. Challenging course. I just didn't feel comfortable playing at some points where people behind my group seemed to be pushing play. This was my first time playing the course and directions to next tees were not that clear. Overall good outing.
Good Day at Mystic
Actual start time real close to scheduled.
Greens in good condition given being early in the season (accepting of good approach shots, rolled pretty true when putting).
Fairways were good overall.
Pace of play above average for a weekend (only waited on two holes…completed round in just over four hours as a foursome).
Probably the most challenging group of par 5s in metro STL (especially playing them from Blue tees…they’re real long).
Real good food in the bar/restaurant.
