Annbriar Golf Course
About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
Nice course
Nice course. Greens rolled smooth. Fairways in great shape. Picked up hot time so value was awesome. Drove over an hour to play again. Course has lots of natural defense. I recommend playing from one tee box longer or shorter than your normal course. Then you can rip driver without getting lost in some well placed fairway bunkers or swells. Then you are only hitting one club higher on second shot. If visiting area stop by. Enjoy range. Two practice greens. Restaurant and a real nice course.
Pace of play is based on customers. Most regulars can move around course 3.5-4hrs.
Remains Best Public Access course in STL area
Annbriar remains the premier public access course in the STL region. The holes from tee to greens are in superb condition. Although I like playing different courses for variety, I always seem to pick Annbriar to play because I know it will be in tip top playing condition. As always, everyone from the Proshop , restaurant and club drop were friendly polite and welcoming. Only one drawback- everyone in the STL wants to play here also so plan early. The tee times are taken quickly.
Best value in STL region
Has been best value for outstanding golf in STL for years and still does not disappoint.
Simply the Best!
Excellent course conditions! Cold waters in coolers at 3 places on the course is a nice touch.
Premier rates should mean premier course
Plain and simple! Why is there rocks and gravel all over greens making for pinball rather than putting? No excuse! Someone screwed up and they didn’t get to fixing it and left it for those who paid to struggle. I don’t pay to golf and get half the course in good shape. Not sure I’ll be back!
First and last time
The pace of play was horrible. Due to cart path only and 10 minutes between tee times, we had 4 groups on some holes. Sometimes it’s not about the profit. Luckily there are many other courses to play.
