About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Great course
If your like me and like visual appealing golf courses, this is the one. Elevation, some links holes, some in the woods, rivers, bends. Greens are perfect. Even after 2 days of rain the course drained well. No standing water. Tons of tee box options. It’s a must play again in my books
Beautiful course ruined by pace of play
Slovenly pace of play with lack of course marshaling. Lack of awareness from many groups as to playing ready golf or attempting to keep play moving at a solid clip. 3 hours 45 mins to play 13 holes is what ruined an otherwise great experience at a wonderful course. Figure that out and it truly will be the best course in the area.
My favorite area public course
This course has the best value. The condition of this course easily contends with more exclusive clubs. What you get for your greens fees is a top tier course with both Links and Woodlands experience. It is challenging and enjoyable.
BONDING TIME WITH FAMILY
Played a few times at Annbriar before, but my first LOWEST score ever. Had a fun and enjoyable time with my family. Always a challenging round hole after hole🏌🏻⛳️🏌🏻♀️

Love this course. Best in the area. Always in good condition. Greens were rolled and running quick which was great. Definitely will be back.

Annbriar continues to be in excellent condition and enjoyable.
Not a 5 star anymore
Annbriar used to be a top 100 course and are now off that list and rightfully so. Still great, but the greens were slow, brown spots in the fairways and tee boxes. Weeds all throughout the rough. Not worth the $88 I was charged,
