Coarse mostly very forgiving. Gives intermediate or beginner golfer some confidence. I play this coarse a lot and it is perfect for the price.

Even after all the rain and flooding the staff was able to get the course looking better then it has in years!!! Wide fairways, medium yardage. Great course for beginner and intermediate golf enthusiasts!

Short course with small greens. Holes vary enough to make it interesting while not overwhelming the lesser skilled player.

Course on the shorter side. Great for Seniors, not so for longer hitters.

Fun course to play. Very good pace of play. Very good course for a beginner or high handicapper. Very friendly staff.

Course was in pretty decent shape. Swirling winds made the course play a little more difficult. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. We decided to walk although a cart was included with the package. The course is great for those who like to walk.

Without the deal - not worth the price. Very early golfers hopped right in front of us on the back nine and slowed us way down. We don't know how they end in front of our group but hacking up and down the course.

Fairways are not cut great (usually 1 rough cut length)

Course is not very long at all (really short actually) but decent greens and very forgiving out of the tee box

This course is not one of the more challenging ones in the area, but if you're looking for a nice, relaxing day out playing golf, I'd highly recommend this one. Although the grass was high in areas, so at times finding your ball, and hitting it were difficult, still overall it was a great out had by all that went in my group (there were six of us).

South shore is just a great place for my son and I to grab a quick round without any hassle. Right now the course is actually playing tough because of the wet and thick conditions but that will change during the dry summer when you will get a lot of roll and just have to contend with wedges off of very hard dry areas to elevated greens. The guy behind the counter is always friendly and that helps when you head to the 1st tee. We enjoy coming out to South Shore

This last winter was harsh and bad for golf courses. However, you would not know it from playing South Shore. Course layout will never be confused with Augusta, but for the money, it will do nicely.

Course was good pace was good beer was cold. Course is tough at times and forgiving at others.

Ya get what you pay for. It is what it is, not horrible, not great

This used to be my home course until I moved away 11 years ago. I try to play it when I come back in town and always enjoy my round. They planted a lot of trees and when they mature this course will be to tight for me but shouldn't have to worry about that for years.

Course lay out is quite annoying. Tee boxes are way to close in proximity to adjacent tee boxes

The Clubhouse could use a little updating/remodel, but they've got the basics to get you going and staff is pretty friendly and accommodating. The course is not exactly the most challenging, but it's not exactly a walk in the park either, and for a guy like myself with a 20 handicap, who am I to complain. The course itself is clean and pretty well maintained. Love the atmosphere of this course, just very comfortable to play here. One of my local favorites... and with these huge GolfNow discounts it makes it even sweeter!

Although quite short and with little danger off the fairway, there are enough bits of water, hills, trees, and sand to make this an interesting round for the average player.

Positive: First of the staff there was amazing. They gave my mother some golf balls and tees for free because she didn’t have any. Which made her day. They were very courteous and very helpful.

Negatives: Overall I liked the layout of the course. They seem to be planting new trees and in several years the course will look even better. However the fairways are super hard. They have an in-ground watering system but seem not to use it. It did rain some the night before however they had a lot of burnt and dead grass all over. The greens were extremely hard and extremely fast because of the lack of watering them. I feel this course has a lot of potential and I feel they are trying to make improvements with the new trees however some of the finer things like watering the fairways and greens each day would help the overall play of the course.

I would play there again the staff was awesome and the price and location are very convenient for me. I feel they have a lot of potential and they would be able to charge more if they kept up the course in better shape.

This is a really fun course. The length is moderate to short. So, good tee shots leave you a short wedge home. The people are extremely nice. We did get slowed up by a group of ladies who had never golfed before. But, you can't blame the course for that. And, hey, if you are in a hurry while you are golfing, you need to reevaluate your priorities. Great course, great condition, great people. Go play this course.
