Great course with great staff
Our group always enjoys this golf course. We live in Evansville and do not mind the hour drive.
It's always in great condition and the staff is always cordial.
Nice course in Southern Indiana
Playing this early in the season the fairways still dormant but otherwise course is in good shape. Grrens play true. Super pace of play. Excellent value.
Nice Layout
Played in early Spring and the course was in good condition (better than most others in the area). The fairways are zoysia grass and had yet to grow in from the winter. Greens were in very good condition. Of course due to time of year there was no roll and the course played very long, but fair. Cart paths are in great shape and clean. I would like to see some sandtraps/bunkers added in places to toughen the holes up a little but that is additional money and maintenance.
My least fav hole is the long par 3-14th, just seemed as though it was added to make 18 holes. One of the best holes is easily the par 5-12th; a great risk/reward hole.
All in all a very nice day at a very nice golf course— we will def be back.
Always a good course
This course doesn't disappoint. Everytime I play it, great conditions and good pace of play.
Great day golfing
Weather was perfect, course is in fantastic shape and the staff was great, can’t wait to play at Country Oaks again.
Enjoyed
Enjoyed the course and very courteous staff, but the pace of play was horrendous. I wish they offered a little more maybe burgers or something but overall worth the money.
Great course for the money.
I really enjoy playing this course. The staff is great. It is a fun course for all skill levels. I highly recommend it.
Good condition
Course was in good condition, but play was very slow. Had a foursome in front and would not let anyone play through but that is not the courses fault. Overall had a great time and will be back
Meh
This course is nothing special. I caught it soaking wet and very shaggy after recent rain (or so I hope) so it wasn't in its best shape with lots of puddles and dead spots where water would lay.
The course did not play as long as it suggested on the card from the blue, though there are some tight holes or tight chutes to hit though. Layout was ok overall, a little back and forth, nothing really wowed me, even the 18th hole which is their signature hole. People around the course and on it were snooty, driving carts everywhere even when path only, and I had a few people cross in front of me when I was lining up to hit on a few occasions, one of whom acted like it was my fault when i had to back off. Pace was slow and jammed on most holes as well. Some greens were a little goofy in design/slope with limited spots for holes.
It's in a black hole area for golf (other than Jasper/French Lick) so if you're on I-69 it's worth a stop, just don't expect much. Otherwise, I wouldn't blame you if you left it for the local coots.
Worth the Price
Course was in good condition. Not very busy. We had fun. However, our cart quit on the 13th hole and they had to deliver another cart to us after a phone call to the clubhouse.
Due to the rain, we had to quit after the 15th hole.
Great time
We had a great time, just wish the rough was cut a little shorter to make finding Golf balls easier, I know, if we were better golfers we’d be in the fairway more. Anyway, I’ll definitely be back
