Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course

Decent course very nice just need better landscaper a lot of patches on fairway and on the green was rough roughy

Had a 10:08 T-time didn’t Tee off until 10:24 it took about 45 mins to play two holes so we skipped about 4 of them due to a league of elderly people they decided to put in front of us . The ranger didn’t try an speed them up or anything so we took it upon ourselves to play through . Completely unorganized I will not be back ever.

Its early so its still a little wet but ultimately good condition andvthe staff was excellent

Have played this course a number of times. Older, simpler course. Fairly forgiving. People were great to us. Indian summer temps. Course was VERY busy as winter was coming. Pace a little slow but they tried to speed it up and let us know their efforts. A couple of rude players.

The course is pretty much straight and open with a couple really long tee shots. To test your strength and accuracy. I’m a beginner so I just need to get more accurate

Course just keeps impressing me. Conditions are consistently improving. The greens are some of the best around. Starter even moved me up a couple slots which was great. Only bad thing I can mention and it is a problem every time is that the register guy Terry is the rudest most unfriendly person at any course in the region.

If you just want to squeeze in 18 holes for the day without a lot of rigmarole this is the course. They have a nice practice area as well.

My Saturday foursome has not played Wicker Park in Years! In the past there was drainage issues and pace of play was a problem. We decided to give it a go today and had a good time. The course was in very good condition and the pace of play was much better. We started about 20 minutes after our tee time but never had to wait on a tee box. Will definitely return.

This course is a straight forward test of primary golfing skills. There are mature trees that require conservative decision making on each tee shot. The routings are fair to the eye, and there are very few blind shots ( think hole #3). There’s an open, public golf course feel that’s welcoming and friendly.

The greens are medium sized and look like they break at the hole more than they do. There aren’t many water hazards, but there’s a tricky creek that loves to steal golf balls so beware.

Overall, I was glad that I finally got around to playing this mature nd honestly challenging course. I think I’ll return, and so should you.

Threw an outing out shotgun start towards the end of my round. 4 groups a hope for the last 3 holes. Joke

Course never fails. Always have a good time here. Definitely one of the sleeper courses. Always forget about the great practice area they have.
