This would be a great course if it were maintained. The greens are damaged, fairways have patches, and the rough is manicured weeds. This was my first time playing the course in 14 yrs. I hope they are able to recover, because it could be a great course to play.
Great Course!
Had a blast playing with my friends on this course. Very challenging but it was beautiful.
A little wet!
We played a day after a few days of big rain. The course absorbed the water really well. There were a few holes that were slushy, but mostly okay. Although the greens were holding water, they were still relatively fast. Some of the sand traps held a lot of water and were not playable.
Overall, the. course was nice and challenging. I was so happy to see the course being well maintained again! I had stop playing here because it lacked upkeep. That is not the case today.

Great course with character.
Course is in great shape. Greens roll excellent. Course manager is fantastic. Course maintenance staff takes great care of the course. Great starter on the weekends to. Good selection of food(mainly on the weekends) good assortment of drinks to. Fantastic course for the cook county park district.
Bunkers
The course is a nice Course, but all Bunkers need sand some play like concrete.

Course has no rakes for the sand traps and the lack of sand does help. Needs sand to be added to all sand traps!
Much Improved
I stopped playing this course 5 years ago because it was being neglected. After reading reviews, it was apparent that the course had improved, and it has! We played it after some heavy rains, so the traps were not very good, but the remainder of the course was fine. The back 9 has also been reconfigured and plays a little shorter than before. Fairways and greens were in perfect shape. We will return.
