They allow people to golf in 5 somes. They do not regulate it. They basically said “oh wellL when I called about the slow play. The guy tried to make me pay 40.00 when so checked in, even though I paid online. Really sad they do that, cuz the layout was nice. Oh well... they don’t want my money -/(

Nice Mature course. Decent shape late in the day even though it hosted an outing earlier.
Repetition
I've played lots of courses throughout my many years from out in the boonies to fine country clubs but this one has to rank as the most boring ever. Up and down, back and forth. No elevation changes at all. Almost every hole is the same except for distance. They've squeezed 18 holes into a small tract of land and just ran them side by side with no variations. There may have been two holes that had a little dog leg action but all the others you can see the flag from the tee box. If you like repetition with no wow factor this is the course for you!
You gave us a 1 Star review because 50 years ago when the course was developed, it was designed on a smaller piece of land that was a corn field??? We are sorry that 50 years ago they didn't find a better piece of land to build a golf course....
A Great Golf Facility!
The greens and fairways are in stellar shape with a nicely challenging layout. If certain novice golfers would learn to not ride past the golf cart limits and also repaired their ball marks I’d give it a 5.
I’ll certainly be back as soon as possible.
Nice Course but...
I love playing here but sadly will not go back until they removed the plexiglass dividers in the carts. This is way over the top. I can see having some for those still paranoid people but it takes the fun out of playing together. You can't carry on a conversation with your partner in the cart. It nuts! I'm on courses all over the midwest and southern US and have never seen this approach. Course is in great shape but the cart thing is too much for me.
Nice course BUT
The course was in good condition but being the first time on the course I found the greens to be bery unfair. Extremely small and the pin locations were placed on break lines making it very difficult to even two putt
Quality made at a reasonable price.
Tee beds in great shape as well as the fairways. Greens are fast as usual and in very good condition. Bunkers well manicured around the edges. Best I have seen the course in a while. Grounds keepers are on there game.
Fast greens
We had another great time at Shadowood. The greens were rolling very nice today! They were fast and smooth! The course is really in great shape. Fairways need some sunshine to completely fill in, but, the rough is really well kept and thick. Nice job to the staff!
They have made addition improvements to the clubhouse to limit close contact and keep us safe. They also have created Plexiglas dividers so we can ride 2 in a cart. Great job Ryan! Thanks
Awesome day of Golf
The course was in great shape. Greens are rolling smooth and quick. We completed the round on a busy course in just over 3:30 hrs. The staff was busy as could be with the amount of golfers, the need to sanitize every cart multiple times a day! Everyone was still in great spirits and glad we had this experience. Thanks Daniel!
Not friendly to Golfnow
This course is not friendly/accommodating to Golfnow golfers. If you arrive early they make you wait for your tee time even if there is no one there. They claim they are making you wait on the chance that someone will come in a pay the rack rate for a time in front of yours. Just know this before you book a time there.
One of the best courses around!
Excellent course! Fun, challenging layout with slick greens. One of the best Hot Deals you will find. Only minor issue is the course won't let you go earlier than your tee time regardless if the course is empty. The only course I have played using golfnow that does this. So if you book thru golfnow, don't get there too early or you'll sit and wait.

Thank you for stopping by. Your review is very misleading so I will add to it. Your round of golf last 4 hours and 8 minutes, we tracked it, our goal is 4 hours and 30 minutes, so your round was not slow at all. You played behind a 5some because the group in front of you was part of our Member Choose Up, as a 5some they played in almost under 4 hours. No one tried to charge you $40, our staff was unware that you were apart of the "Hot Deal" time which the course gets nothing of the $20ish you paid for your time. We would love for you to come play us again, but not as a "Hot Deal" - Either way, these are the facts I looked up from your round. Thank you and have a great day!
