Rating 68.9

One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Nice Course

The staff is very friendly. The food and drinks are fairly priced and taste good. The greens are in great shape. It is a real nice golf course the only problem is it is a little short. But it is well worth it and greens are as nice as Shaker Runs or the Elks. And the pace of play is nice not alot of waiting

Great course for the price

Fairways are a little tight at times and it's challenging, but the length is not bad. Beautiful scenery

This course is a hidden gem, wild turkeys and deer on the course

I have played here twice. On the 1st visit in late june it was extremely dry, and the fairways were hard and brown, but the greens were good. On my second visit, after the rains we have been graced with, the fairways were awesone, zoysia grass, and this was one of the few public courses that the sand bunkers were actually raked. I only saw one hard, wet bunker, of course I landed in it. The greens are extremely challenging, and only had trouble holding a gap wedge from 90 Yrds on one green. This course is spread out and SUPER FUN to play
