Boone County Gem
Great course.......will play it again !!!
Very nice links
Links style course. Staff was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Well worth tye money
its not cheap, but has great value and is always in wonderful condition
Trophy is always excellent
While it's off the beaten path a bit this hidden gem is always an excellent round of golf with great conditions, great staff, and a good golf course with plenty of variety of holes.
Always in good condition
Challenging, but fair and makes you think while playing.
Don't expect to leave with a trophy!
It's gorgeous, but beauty is only skin deep, this course is tough! The greens are raised, fast, multi-leveled and mean with serious run-off drops and very imaginative bunkering. If you love links style golf you will love The Trophy Club. I definitely recommend it but will not go back myself unless my putter is on fire with no signs of turning on me;). I normally shoot in the mid 80s but was happy with the 96 I carded here.
Amazing but too Tricked Up for Average Players
If you love links you'll love The Trophy Club, but be warned, it's beauty is only skin deep. It's tough! The greens are some of the most difficult I've ever played. They are in fantastic condition though, very fast and muti-leveled. Don't expect elevation changes from the tees. Most of the greens are raised and all are protected by imaginative bunkering. I usually shoot in the mid 80s but I was happy with the 96 I carded here. Play was slow but we were a twosome so we're used to waiting. I definitely recommend The Trophy Club but I'm not going back myself unless my putter is on fire with no signs of turning on me.
Best course ever
Course is very well maintained.
Green is fast and very beautiful.
I want play soon again ! Really recommend!!
Very nice golf course for an excellent price
The Trophy Club is an excellent golf course and is amazing value. The conditions are excellent and it is a fun and unique layout. I can't wait to play it again.
A great set up.
Course was in great condition. Only exception was sand bunkers, but it is October. Fairways excellent. Greens in great shape and very challenging.
Great Course!
I have played this course twice. Love the layout and very challenging. We come down from Chicago for the Colts games and try to to play this course. At some point we'll be able to play this course in decent weathet(rained both times). We'll be back!!!!!
Sam
Greens always excellent. Fairways were recently airfield but very playable
Staff is always great
Great value
Must play
Great course
Fast undulated greens. Very crowded and slow. Players playing the wrong tees. No ranger. Super layout with lots of Heather. Be ready to play because the first hole is a killer. Always windy.
WOW!!!
First time playing this course. Flew into Indy to play a few days of golf, and played 36 here. Absolutely beautiful course with great scenery. Fairways could not get any better. The greens are magnificent. I love how fast they are!
Always a Great Deal
Course is always in good shape, and although course seems far due to mileage, easy access via 65 makes it much shorter time wise to get there. Played late in day, pace of play was great. Played 17.5 holes in about 2.25 hours. Better short game helps over good ball striking. Very undulating greens, raised greens on multiple holes.
I much prefer this course over the more expensive Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville. Cheaper, tougher track, better scenery, and better course conditions. Only con is the location vs. GCI.
Reminds me of a Pete Dye course
Gorgeous course with perfect fairways and fast, undulating greens that roll true. Played with my dad in 3 and a half hours on a Sunday morning. Very friendly staff and the yardage books in the carts are very useful. Will definitely play this course again.
Gem of Indy area
One of the best courses in the Indy area. Bring your A-game greens are very tough and fast. Great all around experience. I play here 1-2 times a year and I always have a blast.
Well worth the trip.
Can't say enough about the quality of this links style course. Conditions wer fabulous and every hole is a challenge. I'll be back every chance I get.
Well worth the drive from Indy
It takes a little while to get here from Indianapolis or Lafayette, but The Trophy Club is well worth the drive. You’d be hard pressed to find a course in better condition, plus its super interesting. Greens complexes, with closely mowed surrounds, creative bunkering are just part of the challenge. The course, though it has generous fairways, is full of doglegs as well as a great variety of par 3s and par 5s. A stretch of holes toward the end of the back nine, which revolves around a lake, is particularly enticing.
