Open
This is an open course with some great locations for the water. Aim and you will do good!
Great time, great price especially in March!
Picked this course b/c it's one of my favorites, and about halfway between my buddy's house & mine. I play here at least once a year and was counting on course being well drained after the soaking we'd taken last week. Great decision, course was in great shape. Very few mud balls. Greens were good, a little grainy, but it's Mar. Bunkers hadn't been raked yet, so we pulled the ball out when we were greenside. Wind was up, so there were some long holes into it! Nice time - if you've not played here before you should.
great layout
course for being November 11th was in great shape. I really like the layout and course conditions. Greens were in great shape and bunkers were raked. However, the carts were gas operated and the cart paths were in poor condition. I would like to see for the amount spent to maintain the course that the golf carts would be upgraded to electric. It would also be nice if they fixed the cart paths. I tried to avoid the cart paths at all costs in order to save my lower back.
This coarse is spread out. So you never know what around the corner. Has a lot of dog legs.
This is a beautiful golf coarse. You better be on your putting game or it will be a long day.
Great challenging course
First time playing Trophy Club. The pace of play was relatively slow as a number of golfers were out on what might have been one of the last warm days before winter. Course is one of the most challenging I have personally played and I found it difficult at times although I think now that I have played it once I want to definitely come back again now that I have a feel for the layout. Only real complaint was the with golf carts. They seemed a bit worn and were gas vs. electric. No pick up and we could smell the exhaust. Also, no GPS but they provided a booklet with a page on each hole. The book was in pretty bad shape. Hopefully, they are planning to upgrade to electric carts with GPS over the winter for next season.
Best value in central IN
And it's not even close. Greens. Fairways tees. Layout. Beautiful scenery. Solid range. Challenging and fair. Could play here every day.
Awesome from tee box to green
Greens are undulating & challenging but roll true, lots of fun to play. We enjoyed this course as much as any we have played in the General Indianapolis area, highly recommend.
A great course
Trophy Club is 58 miles from my home and I try to get there once or twice a year at least. The staff member even charged us less than the advertised cost on GOLFNOW since we were all "seniors." We had a great day on a great course.
Great Course!
The Trophy Club is a hidden gem located in Lebanon, IN. The course is one of the nicest I have played in the area and well worth the drive. The cost to play is extremely reasonable and you will not be disappointed. The staff was more than accommodating and happy to have you out to play a course they are extremely proud of. The facilities/pro shop do not measure up to the quality of the course, but are more than sufficient.
Great value, poor management
Course is a challenging and well kept course. Tee times and pace of play not managed well. Showed up for our tee time at number 1, and there were 4 groups all lining up at same time. 20 minutes later we teed off. Took 4 hours to get through 14 holes.
This course has some challanging features
Arrived early. Waited around approx. 60 minutes below being allowed to tee off. Only 2 groups of 2 tee off in that time period. Had indicated to staff, when we arrived and during that wait, that we would be willing to tee off early, if spots were available. Held us until a group of 3 and 4 was before us and a group of 4 were behind us. Poor time management in relationship to use of course. Course condition was good, but felt pace of play was bad, due to staff placing us, a group of two, between these other groups, when there were many opportunities to get us out early, when no golfers were on the 1st three holes. Do not order the brats, if you eat there. The skin on the brats was like eating a latex glove. Would recommend course, based on condition of course only.
Trophy deserves a Trophy
Excellent course and people who run it. Course condition outstanding
Nice track
Good challenge. Course in great shape. Links type, fairly wide open. Reachable par 5's.
An almost perfect day.
Course was easy to find for the first visit. Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in great condition although too many golfers have not been repairing their pitch marks. The only downside to the day was the total lack of friendliness by the girl at the halfway house. I think we interrupted her book reading. Despite that I look forward to going back and would recommend this course to anyone.
A good Midwest Links style course
Trophy Club is one of my frequently visited courses. It offers a good challenge, a good pace, and the course is almost always in really good condition. There is a quality mix of risk/reward shots and the course challenges you to think about how you want to play the holes. For Indiana, there are good elevation changes and the water comes into play on several holes. Some great rates are available through golf now. The different tee options actually make the course play a little different which is nice. The course is at least 5 strokes tougher with a 10 mph wind. At 15 mph, it can become a monster. The greens are fast a roll true.
The only issues I have are that the bunkers are hit and miss on maintenance (a Midwest public course problem!). The carts are gas and noisy. Food and beverage on the course are only available during peak times. The traffic noise from I-65 also ruins the ambiance on some holes.
Still, one of my favorite courses for the money in Indianapolis. Comparable to Purgatory.
Wonderful
What a great place to play..! Pay attention to the card on the cart as to where to hit the ball.
Most for the bogies in the group was simply due to hitting it in the wrong place.
The greens were excellent and true. the fairways were great. The staff was out there working on removing debris on and around the greens...We will be back!

Trophy Club a Winner, BUT...
This may be the best value in the state. Great layout and facilities. I belong to a private Pete Dye designed club and play at TC 2-3 times per season because the course is that good. However, like many public courses, the etiquette of your fellow golfers can be less than stellar. The greens are great, but unlike a private course, players don't seem to care about fixing ball marks. The traps are very nice, but many were un-raked. This is pure BS, and not the fault of the club. We finished in just under 4 hours as a twosome, but a threesome on the course took a full 5 hours. Fortunately they let us play through, but had a back-up behind them. This should have been addressed by a ranger or management. These guys should have been in a video for slow play. They seemed upset when we asked to play through after waiting 15 minuted for them to make their shots from the fairway.
Challenging but doable
This is a very well maintained course with many different types of challenges. Large undulating greens, numerous bunkers, odd angles & water hazards on several holes make you think about your shots much more than many courses. Multiple tees allow you to choose a yardage you're comfortable with. I would recommend that anyone who has an opportunity to play this course do so.
Trophy Club
Love this course. If you are in town stretch out of the city and play this course great views, good play pace and great value.
Beautiful Track
The course was in great shape. The greens rolled well despite many ball marks that had not been repaired.
