Decent Municipal Course
Sunrise is a fine local course, though it could benefit from more consistent course maintainance, more TLC from locals and better management of players. The course isn't mowed regularly so the rough (A mix of clover, crab grass and grass) can be so long you literally can't see your ball. Some trees overhanging fairways need to be trimmed as they interfere with pkay. Also, clearly, many members do not consider fixing hall marks on greens or raking bunkers after use. And, the course can be frustrating as "regulars" sometimes play in groups larger than 4 and hopscotch around holes, sometimes jumping in front of other groups. The course, though, is fine even if golfer etiquette lacks.
Great time
My wife and I decided we wanted to play a round and we saw this course on Golf Now. The course was in great condition considering the amount of rain that had fallen. Dry enjoyable experience.
Hidden Gem at Sunrise
I was able to walk and carry my clubs without interference with other golfers. Nice layout,good distance and well kept greens. I really enjoyed the course.

Great neighborhood-type course
Nice course in great shape with smaller greens. The layout is basic, not some resort course, but fun to play. Will definitely go back.

The grass and overall condition of the course was fantastic! Wide open and a basic layout. Good value!
Great course
First time I played this course. Played behind a couple. 3 1/2 hours to play 18. Good layout and course conditions reminded me of courses that I played in Michigan. Visit this place! You won't be disappointed!
Great shape
The crew here obviously has been putting in extra work to make the course prime and the greens are the best they’ve been in years! Keep up the great work!
Easy on the brain
All the holes are majority straight fairways from tee to green yes there are some fairways that have skinny alleys and some with wide open fairways . The course lacks a signature hole or holes that make it a one of a kind experience . It's a grind of long par 4s most part 5s are gettable . Par 3s are very long and tough
Best Course in Southern Indiana
I have played a lot of golf all over the state of Indiana and this course is top-notch. The staff and maintenance workers are very friendly and helpful, the food is great, and the drinks are priced very well. The course itself has a mixture of challenging holes and some easier ones, making it a perfect course to play. I highly recommend everyone to bring their friends and families to Sunrise Golf Course.
Great course in a wonderful town
Fantastic course regardless of municipal or not. Pleased to see a renovated club house which now offers cheap alcohol and a new golf pro that was very nice. Can't wait to visit historic Madison for 18 more!
Great Course, Wonderful Town
The sunrise golf course of Madison Indiana is quite literally one of the most beautiful courses I’ve ever seen. As it was my first time playing, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was not disappointed! The course was smooth and easy to navigate and I enjoyed some practice time. The ProShop was clean, neat and the newly renovated clubhouse is beautiful and welcoming all while eating some delicious food from the Sunrise Grille!
