Nice course for the money
Nice and challenging for an early spring round. I like the course and the hills make it fun and scenic.
Hard but enjoyable Course
I really enjoyed my round the course layout is excellent and challenging. There is a lot of trouble around the course as a creek is in play on most of the holes sometimes off the fairway and sometimes in front of the green. If you grip and rip it without much consideration you may end up in a bunker or with a really difficult approach. The greens are huge and ran pretty true for a cold March Sunday. Overall if you play here you want to bring your A game and maybe a friend who knows the course enough to help you navigate the course.
bunker party
Lots of bunkers and creeks on each holes. Also ropes around several greens. Yardage on ground didnt match what was wrote on scorecard
Challenging and great layout
We really enjoyed this course. It has a lot of sand and tighter than average fairways which makes you think about your shot. Greens are in great condition.
Fun Course
I haven't played Deer Creek for a number of years. I found it to be in very good condition for being near the end of the summer. It's a layout that forces you to make decisions about club selection and positioning. You don't just pull out your driver every hole. The creek runs throughout the course and comes into play frequently.
I found it to be a good value and a nice challenge right in the middle of Overland Park.
Put in some labor
I have played this course before and loved it. This time the traps were terrible and the greens and boxes needed work. I would not recommend this course until someone did so work on it.
Awesome course
This course was beautiful but tight from the tips. I love playing challenging courses, even if I don't score. Highly recommend if you like views and challenge.
Nothing what I expected!
Worst tee boxes and greens I have played all 2016. Unrepaired divots. Dragged feet marks, dead spots on the greens. Tee boxes had bare dirt.
Fairways were ok but grass needed mowed bad off fairways and around greens.
I was expecting a nice course but was so disappointed . Drove from KC MO Northland and passed several courses up here that blow this course away.
Extremely great fairways & greens
Perfect course for any kind of golfer nice layout very good maintain very friendly staff & beverage cart is keep asking well done
Thanks for your service
Great first round!
We will be back for sure! Got rid of the driving range but it was a great course
Tight course
Very tight play around a creek the whole time. Can only hit your driver a few times. Great course
Loved this course
This was a beautiful course with a very friendly staff. My only complaint was the greens were extremely pock-marked. I don't think anyone fixes their divots on this course. The rest of the course was well groomed. I will definitely play this course again.
Tough, Challenging Course
A great course, lots of trees, tight fairways, elevation changes, and carries over water. Greens are fast and they rolled great. It is set in a really nice residential neighborhood - a very relaxing and fun ride around the course.
Nice and dangerous
handful of holes that if you miss the fairway you are dropping another ball..I wouldnt be more than a 10 handicap to take this course on regardless of the tees you play.
Amazing day at the course
Very enjoyable day. The fairways were in the best shape I have seen there. Course was clean. The rate of play was exceptional. I can't wait to play there again.
A lot of variety
Beautiful course that is not forgiving.
Great value!
Challenging course with varying conditions. For the location the value is excellent. I wish ball marks would get repaired and this would be an excellent course across the board.
Good Round
Greens were a little chewed up from winter play. Still early in the season.
I play here often and the course is great.
The dead spots you refer to is un repaired ball marks that get scalped by the mower in the morning. I always fix my ball mark and a few more to help
Fairways always look great, you probably just played on a day they were in the process of mowing.
. Only two holes have growing issues on the tee boxes. Hardly a problem for anyone who plays and appreciates plush fairways and smooth fast greens.
I do not know what you're talking about. The greens are perfect, except for ball marks that golfers don't repair. I assume you might be one of those golfers since you describe it as " dead spots"
When ball marks are not repaired by the golfer, they get scalped by the mower in the morning.
I play this course a few times per month. Smooth fairways and great tee boxes, except for a few that are a problem area.
I think #8 and #17. It's a tee box !! Smh
I love this course
