Fox Run Golf Club

Course condition is getting worse and worse. Grass are long and looked like haven't been mowed in a week or so. Very hard to find ur ball even in the fairways. It was the cheapest price on golfnow but I dont even think it's worth the money. Pace of play was very slow today because of players new to the game that were taking 10-15 mins each hole. Hitting 2 or 3 tee shots. Today was not a day to golf there. Plus u spend more time looking for your ball instead of playing golf.

Everything was awesome except for the blonde cart lady. She blew us off twice. First time was 10ft ahead of us and went to another group of guys on a different hike who yelled at her. Second time I was talking to her and our group of three all got out of our carts and she randomly took off. Nothing negative was ever said to her. Bad service but great course

I have played at Fox Run 2-3 a year over the past 7 years or so. Any golfer in the area that plays at Fox Run understands that the course is not well maintained. In 2020 they have taken their maintenance to a new low. As you can see from the image I posted while playing there were massive clumps of grass on the greens even at mid morning. I guess the grounds crew can't figure out that you send a mower out to the first hole followed by someone with a blower and then they move forward through 18 so when customers play the greens aren't in this condition. How could the greens get this long to begin with? hahahaha! On most of the holes I played the cretin mowing the green was too lazy to replace the flag stick so it was just laying on the side of the green. All of this is to be expected at Fox Run, the poorest golf course in the area.

What I did not expect is the alarming disregard for players by the grounds crew. Mowing within a few feet of players, one kid with a blower was blowing the green off a few yards from me while I was putting, on 18 no less so it did me no good at that point hahaha! I looked at him to see if he would stop or at least idle down the blower and he glanced at me blankly and continued. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs, unless you like hitting balls on a driving range covered in weeds that is half mowed, then this may be the place for you! This may be the worst golf course in the United States.

Played this course before. Everything about the course including the address were correct. Arrived 15 minutes prior to tee off only to discover they don’t take on line bookings and never have! My tee time was 1050 am if you care to refund my money ? Don’t know where you had me booked but it wasn’t at this course. 1 hour drive time for disappointment . Will not use this booking system again.

I have played this course over 10p times since it opened. It used to be fun and we'll kept. So sad to say it ha done down hill the last few years... And new ownership isn't changing that. Hole #6 needs to be shut down for a year (at least!). Poor shape!! Poor service. Doubt I'll go back!!

Do yourself a favor go to Dodge Riverside.. Better course, better conditions and they act like they want you there.!

Course is challenging, but it is set up very well and caters to all levels of play. One employee from the clubhouse can be rather rude, but they do provide good service otherwise.

I played there 3 times this week because it's the cheapest one. But the course condition is not that great. It looks like they haven't mowed the grass in a week. Even in the fairway, it's very hard to find or see your golf ball. Grass are thick and long. Greens are ok. Some patch here and there. Long wait especially if your playing by yourself. Maybe a good course for just people that wants to get out and have fun with friends. The cart girl was awesome though. She was very attentive and polite.

Booked Via Golfnow for an 11:50 Tee time, arrived with all players and checked in right at 11:50. You would have thought we killed a puppy the way we were treated. Pro shop man was rude and directed us out to the golf marshal immediately. (Mind you state law requires 10 minutes between tee times during this pandemic.) At this time it is 11:52 and the marshal greets us with a disgusting soggy stogie and a "you're late." and proceeds to stare at us for the next 30 seconds. After swapping out carts for a functional unit we make it to the first tee box, where the single that "had been waiting for us" is on the green 3 minutes after the booked tee time.

Marshal never once came around to monitor flow of golfers, because we were waiting the whole rest of the day.They don't abide by tee times because they are trying to herd you through like cattle.

By the end of the day it was quite apparent, Fox Run does not care about your safety or experience during these trying times. Literally every staff member we came in contact was rude (even the cart boy!)

If you are looking for a good deal on Golfnow, steer clear of this place. pay a few dollars more and actually enjoy yourself.

Would like to see have only 1 person per cart and have no one touch the the flag stick need to more spacing during this virus. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the course could use some work

Took my wife out to fox run and we had a blast, the staff was amazing and most importantly the course was in good shape. It provided a challenge for me, but for my wife, who is just starting her golfing career, it was not overwhelming! Thanks again to the staff for a great day of golf.

course under new management, coming along, fairways in good shape, greens still a little rough from aerating/sanding, I'll be back!! Staff was very nice

I found this facility while looking for a practice range. Prices are quite reasonable, range deck was in fine shape for any time of year let alone being very early in the season and the staff was quite friendly. I decided to return for a morning round the next day. Being a first timer the young man gave me a brief overview of this courses somewhat odd layout which was a huge help as I was walking. It’s a tale of two nines. Or of 12 and 6. You start on a traditional, tightly framed, country club feel for the first few holes. Then it crosses the road to a modern feeling trek around a lake and new home construction. Once returning back to the main part of the facility, the back nine is a beautifully tree-lined out and back layout with simple yet challenging shot choices.

Greens rolled extremely well and the tee boxes were better than expected.

I was warned about the effects of flood damage to the course ahead of my round and troubled areas were clearly marked or roped off. I have to say that the maintenance staff is on top of it.

It gets busy here on the afternoon but the morning seemed to flow with a good pace of play.

Great course for all levels of golfers because even errant shots are likely found and tees are placed at playable distances.

Go out and enjoy this course.
