Hunters Ridge Golf Course

Hunter's Ridge is a very nice course through some neighborhoods, not many holes do not have houses on your left or your right.

The front nine is pretty fun and gettable, green speeds were very good but could tell it was end of season and greens had lots of ball marks. The par 5 2nd is a fun risk reward hole, probably would play it safe when all the native grass is up. The par 3 4th hole mid season would be an awesome looking hole, great green with sand in front and behind protecting the short par 3.

Back nine starts off fun but once you get to 12 and 13 and have water all along one side is not fun to me. Never a fan of water all down the side of a hole. 14-16 is an awesome stretch. With 2 great par 3s and a risk reward par 4. Closing hole is a nice finish to possibly a good round.

Course was in very solid condition considering how much rain they have not gotten in Iowa for months. Definitely wanna see it in the summer next year.

I was recommended to play your course by my brothers neighbour while I was visiting from the uk. The booking on line was easy and I got a tee time that was on offer. All the staff was helpful and friendly, the. Course was in good condition and was testing as I had never played it before. I can’t wait to go back an play next year when I visit my brother again.

I usually go golfing with my wife at Hunters. I book my tee time using GolfNow app. The staff is very friendly and maintains the course in a good shape. Hope I will go golfing there again soon

great course layout,recommend anyone to play the tips and come away with an under par round,very challenging!! the greens are extremely nice and run true.

Course is challenging and worth the money.

Staff is unfriendly EVERY time we play there.

Very homogenous feel - if you’re a white male, you will feel welcome.

Most golfers refuse to let twosomes play through even if they are holding up multiple groups behind them.

Ranger either non-existent or won’t address pace of play.

A very misogynistic environment, unfortunately.

The pace was too fast. We had others hitting balls on top of us. There was three of us and we had people hitting balls on top of us 5 different times. I have been to many other coarse's and have not had that happen that many times in 18 holes. Ground was too hard the balls would bounce more than what a person would want. Tee boxes were way too hard because I had trouble putting a tee into the ground, looked like they watered everything but the tee boxes. Several tee boxes had way too many divots looking like there was no attention paid to the tee box's for several days. Looked like to me that they were trying to cater to a certain group of people and the coarse did not show to me that it was not on the higher end of a golf coarse. Staff was great, place was clean. Will not play there again, too many other coarse's that are in better shape for the price. Owner(s) of this coarse should go to other coarse's to see how other place maintain their coarse's.

I’m an avid golfer and was treated terribly by their ranger, which you can see in other reviews, they prefer to harass their customers rather than actually maintain the course, which was in awful shape

We teed off a little before 10, course was busy as usual , but teed off on time. Greens were hard and fast, fairways were in good shape. We still don’t have any water on the course to drink especially on these hot summer days. Also some ball washers were dry or nearly dry. Maintenance was out trimming and emptying trash cans who could of easily fill the ball washers. A water station on each 9 would be nice.

Friday tee time 1141 [foursome]. After the front 9 we pulled into the clubhouse to give the group behind us plenty of time to move ahead even though it wasn’t necessary. Didn’t happen and once on #10 green the starter told us we were right on schedule but to hurry up our pace of play and utilize ready golf along with strictly enforcing the cart path rules as we pulled just off the cart path at the green like everyone does. We offered to let the group behind us move along but starter said this was not allowed. We didn’t meet many inviting faces with the locals and the starter wasn’t pleasant but all and all with a clubhouse break round was completed in 4 hours 15 mins.

Nice course! Nice people! I will go golfing at hunters ridge whenever I see my calendar open!

Course was really fun from the White Tees. I usually play the blue/white. Was paired up with a great group of guys to make a 4 some. Pace of play was good all day. Ranger kept the pace going. Few tee boxes were alittle bit rough on the front 9. The back nine was in great shape. Will def make the hour & 45 min drive to play again.
