Love golfing at Hunters Ridge
Nice course! Nice people! I will go golfing at hunters ridge whenever I see my calendar open!
Course was fun
Course was really fun from the White Tees. I usually play the blue/white. Was paired up with a great group of guys to make a 4 some. Pace of play was good all day. Ranger kept the pace going. Few tee boxes were alittle bit rough on the front 9. The back nine was in great shape. Will def make the hour & 45 min drive to play again.
Course in Great Shape
The course was very busy, but we managed to get off at our scheduled tee time. Pace was very good after the second hole. Finished our round in 4 hours 10 minutes. The course was actually working the sand bunkers which made them more playable than last year. We like the course because of the senior tees. Our 4 some ranged from 72- 83 years old. Scores 84-91. Staff was more than pleasant and the post round of drinks were cold. Thanks for the great outing. We will be back
Average Course
The fairways and greens are in decent shape but the tees are really beat up. Lots of weeds in the rough areas around the greens and fairways. Practice area is in bad shape. The chipping green is almost dead. Bunker has been filled with water for a month. Staff if very friendly. Course superintendent needs to up his game. Curse gets lots of play so it should be no issue keeping it in better condition financially.
Best track in Cedar Rapids Metro area
Spring golf is always a little iffy. Hunters Ridge has the course whipped into very nice shape. Traps have been worked, greens roll well. You cannot beat the layout and the beauty. If the wind is blowing, it will test the best of golfers. A fair track if you do your part, but you have to think and execute. This is what a good golf Course should be. Come enjoy it!
Some fun, some chsllenge
30 mph winds and scattered showers did not deter us from a fun round at Hunters ZRidge. Course was in great condition and greens were in good shape with varied pin placements.

Had a fun round of golf at Hunters Ridge. Really enjoyed playing.
Conditions are Deteriorating
This is the 3rd time I've reviewed Hunters Ridge. You can read my prior reviews from 2018 and 2020 for a more complete picture on my thoughts about this course.
I wanted to give an update on the course for 2021. As most know, this has been a dry year in Eastern Iowa, and Hunters Ridge has suffered because of it. The course is in the poorest condition I've seen it. Brown around the edges is okay, but there are areas of the course that have been lost, or are close to lost.
I still recommend playing it, especially with some of the deals to be had online, but don't expect pristine conditions when you go play.

Very poorly cared for course and rude staff
Most greens were unkempt and had really inconsistent speeds and were full of divots. The tee boxes were all very beat up. The cart paths on the back nine are in need of some major patch work.
The staff at the clubhouse were all rude and dismissive towards me and my special needs daughter.
