Painted Hills Golf Club

I've played this course for many years and overall like the changes that were done earlier this year. The course was a little rough b/c of all the work that has been done, but I'm excited to come back next year to see how the changes have matured. Fun course that you can score really well on if you can keep it (somewhat) straight.

Painted Hills is a nice course. The greens were in great shape, but some (not all) of the fairways need some work. We played the blue tees, which are about 5,900 yards. Very good course for the $$$.

I heard they recently spent alot of money fixing up this course, so we thought we would try it. The only noticible differences were removal of trees and added some bunkers. The staff said they re-did some of the greens, but we did not notice any improvement here. Not worth the drive to get there for me. The course is poorly marked for yardages, even from the tee boxes!

First visit since course improvements, good value! They have some issues with heat stress on the new grass right now, but who isn't having KC July heat issues? Overall it was in pretty good shape and a great value for the cost. Not crowded at all, so round went quickly.

The condition of the fairways and roughs on this course definitely needs some work. There are some holes in which differentiating between the two becomes difficult with some patchy areas as well. That being said, the greens were in immaculate condition. I was shocked by how well the greens were kept in relation with the rest of the course. The greens were well kept and super fast. This led to some challenging holes as the slopes of the greens really affected a lot of putts. Overall I was super impressed by the greens as I think this is the most important aspect of a golf course in regards to condition. Would not be my go to course but if they get the rest of the fairways and roughs up to par (see what I did there?) I would consider playing this course more often.

There are still a few areas that have not reached 100% yet. Got to do some work on a couple fairways. Still had a good time and the new sand makes it a bit more interesting.

The one improvement they need to make is the condition of the fairways and tee boxes .

if you want an ego boost or want to get drunk and not worry about losing golf balls, this is a good place. Greens aren't horrible but there are zero challenging holes on the course. I'm a 4 handicap and I shot 1 under without breaking a sweat. staff was friendly but if you are looking for a challenge, stay away.

The new Painted Hills is fun to play. Nice changes. Greens are in excellent shape. The staff should be proud of the changes. Nice overall tweek to the course as a whole. Some spotty fairways, but I reckon they'll catch up with the greens.

Great Staff!! Course is still under renovation. Some of the Tee boxes were shaggy. Price is a little high for a course being renovated. We will go back though.

Love the changes to the course. This course will be great once the grass all grows in.

Several tee boxes and greens have been reworked and are not quite ready.A few fairways are a little thin,also. This will be a good place to play with a little more rain and a little more work. The new greens are more challenging and this is a fun course to play.
