Greens in good shape and fairly quick.........................................

l am a love the course, have a great time playing! I am a beginner so there are some good hole to learn on!

Wrong directions from GolfNow 7933 State not Parallel Pkwy. Called when we couldn't find it. Put on hold, rude on the phone. Starter complained about us being late. Rude, but worked us in. No reason for the attitude if they are trying to attract new customers good luck. Rattled from the start and didn't enjoy the round. Greens didn't roll for me. Should have stayed in bed. $2.75 for a powerade?

Course greens are upkept and played 18 holes for $20

I had not played Painted Hills CG for 3 years and was pleasantly surprised by the recent renovations.
The greens were a little thin in places but no bare spots. The rolling greens are a good challenge. The tee boxes, fairways and fringe were in excellent condition. I really enjoyed playing this course again and will return

We were very excited to play Painted Hills. The check-in staff was very friendly and the beer was reasonably priced, and the course looked great from the tee boxes.

The negatives:

The marshals were not friendly and tended to only watch the first hole.
The holes are too close. I had no less than seven balls from other holes land within 10 feet from me.
The greens are fast but cut too short and dinged up. There are sunflower seeds all over the place.
A Marshall came and asked my group to speed up despite the fact we were over 15 minutes under the posted pace of play we had no groups waiting on us and no groups in front of us.

What could have been a pleasant experience was degraded by groups being sent off too close making the course crowded (first nine) and unreasonable/understandable pace regulation.

We will not be returning.

It looked old style a bit but was fun to play. Greens were good and moderately fast.

Played 100 of times and in the best shape ever seen. Green are nice and fast

I had not golfed this course in 15 years. The improvements were amazing. The greens were in fantastic shape. This is a great course for all levels. The employees were super friendly and helpful. One of my best golf outings of the summer.

Pretty course - while over all a well laid out open course a few of the greens offered challenges. The Marshall stated that a lot (can't remember the number he quoted as we teed off) were removed we found 2 o the first hole that should have been included.....

Course was in very good condition. Greens very fast but not too difficult and not too easy.

Overall very good experirence. Suggest better yardage markers in ground or gps system. Par 3 yardage when tees are moved from standard box is hard to determine.

Played after 5 and only took 2hr 15min. Fun course with reachable par 5s and some reachable par 4s also. But has some more challenging tee shots with a smarter play of the tee

Nice little course for the price. It does play pretty short though so if you normally hit whites, try the blues here. My only knock is the pace of play can slow way down with the Marshall's not doing anything about it.

Our Tee time was 1404. At the 9th hole the time was 1535. We were 45 minutes ahead according to our card. A single player yelled at us to hurry up on the 9th hole. I complained to the Marshal and he started to say it was somehow my fault. The other player did come and apologize. At the 10 tee box the Marshal Paul followed us and yelled at us while 2 of my players were teeing off. I did answer my cell phone. I did not know it was against the rules to use my phone. We were still 45 minutes ahead with no one around or waiting. I went to complain to the manager that her staff was being verbally abusive she would not address it. I have played this course over 30 times and I will never be back. Thanks for ruining my friends and I's golf game Painted Hills. Worst customer service. Oh and yes one of the players did get a beer at the turn from his truck. I bought mine from the beer cart. The other player had nothing to do with me being verbally abused by their staff. My team was set to play in their tournament next week. I wanted to cancel and they said I had to turn in a written request to get my money back? A business is as only as good as it's people who represent them. No matter what I was a customer being respectfull minding my own business trying to have fun. This was an oppressive atmosphere that did allow people to do what they came for, have fun and play golf. I will be contacting my bank to dispute charges for me not being able to finish my round. This will be the first time I have done this before in 20 years. Oh and what was the most frustrating, I WAS 4 UNDER!!! You ruined probably the best game in my life Painted Hills!!!!

I have always liked Painted Hills, but it is even better after the upgrades. Just wish they would put the Hotdogs out earlier so I could have one at the turn.

The course is in much better shape this year. Fairways are improved. Fewer trees more bunkers.
A great place for beginners to play. Easy enough to make me feel good about my round.

The total experience was very enjoyable. The facilities were clean, the condition of the course was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The grounds crew has been doing an excellent job maintaining the course. The course was challenging and fun. You cannot beat the value and quality. I can't wait to go back.

The condition of Painted Hills really great . My girlfriend and I had a great time . we surely will be back .

Great way to reserve a tee time. Wasn't a busy day so go around in good time. Good fairways when I was in them, and the greens rolled nice.
