Good Value
You can find great deals for this course on Golf Now. You get what you pay for though. The course itself is getting in better condition here in June. I am satisfied with the quality of the course for what I'm paying for, what I'm not satisfied with is everything else. The rangers a painfully bad at having any awareness. They don't know how to push slow golfers along. They also made me ride with another single which i'm usually ok with, but they had a ton of extra carts. I told them I'd prefer to ride by myself to improve pace of play. The ranger didn't understand this concept and I ended up riding with someone who would have been better off driving to his own ball over in the rough every hole. If you play here on the weekend you will be playing at a 4-5+ hour pace thanks to the rangers. Again, the course is great for the value. The management just might need to do a better job of scheduling tee times, and rangers need to stop hanging around and talking.
Tomahawk was great!
I really enjoyed playing Tomahawk! The staff was very friendly! It is a great layout... the way both nines end with the par three’s off of the cliff is spectacular!
Staff is not very helpful. A bunch of old guys that need to understand that they’re not there to be the golf course police department but to help their customers. We were treated poorly by almost the entire staff.
Very underwhelming
Very underwhelming , The course conditions were horrible greens were messed up just wasn’t taken care of very well I would not recommend this course to anyone
Nice course for the money.
Overall a good layout for a public course, fairways in good cond., tee boxes fair to good, greens fair. Played with my girlfriend and another couple, the ladies are good golfers but the women's yardage is way too long for the average women golfer. Several par 4s are impossible to reach in 2 and the women's tee boxes should be moved forward at least 400 yards overall. Nice club house.
Definite Return
Good lay out, nice fairways, good pace, greens were a little rough. Will play again.
AVERAGE!
First time playing the course and will probably be my last. Staff was friendly and they seemed to hire all the local retirees as rangers. On a weekday there were 6 rangers just hanging around the clubhouse chatting.
The course was in OK shape--decent fairways, but the greens were in rough shape. It's a challenging course with the extreme elevation changes. I wouldn't pay more than $25 to play this course.
First time playing this course
I am still new to golf and not very good. I had a lot of fun playing this course.
Great course, great shape
Nice mature course well taken care of. Pace of play good. Good value.
Course had some structure issues
After the storms that rolled through, some fairways, greens and almost every bunker had some issues but that was to be expected. Price was well worth it for $33
Tomahawk Hills
Good course in good condition. Pace of play can go slow sometimes but pretty good for the most part. Greens are in good condition and very friendly staff.
Very good course to play
Great fairways and pretty open on most holes if you miss the fairways. 1st time playing this course and will definitely be back. #9 & #18 unique holes teeing off high above the greens. Very nice course overall.
Beautiful Course
Lush green grass everywhere and wonderful greens and wonderful views. Truly a great course
First Time Playing this course
I played this course for the first time and I will say that I was very happy with this course. The pace was excellent and we were playing as a foursome. The course was a great value for the money
Tomahawk hills
Overall course in pretty good shape. Greens we're really slick, had hard time getting anything to bite. Couple of greens had some rough spots but overall in decent shape.
Fun Course
For the most part the course was in great condition. The greens were very rough but the tee boxes , fairways, and the rough were all in great condition. For the amount of rain we had the night before and the course was relatively dry and was not cart path except on a couple holes. We will definitely play there again for the cost its a fun little course.
Bearable
We played on Father's Day and the rate was only $30 w/ cart which was a good deal for the day/time we reserved. I've seen this course charge close to $50 for a round which is not worth it in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised as the course conditions were the best I'd seen there in a decade. Typically the greens are always very sandy. This is a good "fallback option" course, but don't overpay. Also, no hard liquor - only beer.
