Good for beginners
Short course, not well kept, lots of novices, not intuitive layout.
Awsome!! And Tyler in the pro Shop is the man!
Great course to pick up the game and learn. Awsome staff. Great price for 9 and a cart. Will go back!
Shutdown & Renew
I’ve played on this course for 20+ years, and throughout all that time, the quality of this course has seemingly stayed the same: very poor. There was a nickname for this course when I played in high school, and it was The Rock. The course has always been quite short, but the ground was/is so hard and uneven that making par was/is still a challenge. I’d love to see this course take a sabbatical for a year or two and really become a gem for the Northern Kentucky region. The clubhouse is fine, but the course needs total revamping. First, flattened, level tee boxes. It’s never a good experience to tee off when your feet and ball are on different planes. Second, distinguished cuts of grass for tee boxes, fairways, fringe, and greens. Many times all of those areas run together (the greens are distinguishable, but in terrible condition - a lot of dead spots). Third, more manageable greens. Many of the greens are smaller than they used to be 10 or years ago, but they are too uneven. Random slopes and lots of extreme double tiers. This leads to nearly impossible readings of the greens. You might as well just hit the ball towards the main break and try to your best to 2-putt. Four, better hole division. Almost every time I play there, people on holes 1, 2, 3, and 9 are playing with each other because these holes run parallel to one another without a sufficient tree line to separate them. Most people don’t hit the ball straight, so having a taller, thicker tree line separating the fairways would prevent more people from having to play on other fairways and slowing up pace further. Also, almost every time I play there, people have to stop and ask where to go for hole 6. This leads me to Five, hole information and direction. Proper hole signs including at least tee box yardage markers should be a given for any course. Plus proper signs indicating which direction to go for each hole if they’re not obvious. And since the cart paths on this course are nearly non-existent, these would be a cheaper alternative for direction. Six, cart paths. Self-explanatory.
That’s it. I would love to see someone that loves golf properly invest in this course and make it stand out. I know it’s only 9-holes, but that’s enough for most players looking for quick rounds after work, during the weekend when they have other plans and want to fit in a quick round, or for any gold league. I hope someone makes it happen someday.
Round cancelled because of rain.
I wont be using golf now again for booking.
The round was cancelled because of thunder and lightning storms in the area.
I could not seem to get my cancellation done through golf now and the course just said golf now needs to call them so they can tell them it was rained out but I still have no number to get through to you .
course for beginners
Course plays WAYYY shorter than the scorecard says. Fairways and a few greens are in pretty rough shape. If you’re looking for 9 holes to get a little practice in, this is a pretty good course for the price. Could really be a decent, short course if they put some money into the greens and fairways
RIP off
Course is in very bad shape greens are messed up . 20.00 for 9 holes and a cary is stealing .I do not recomend playing here unless you pay 10.00 bucks
First Time For Season
My grandson and I got to finally play some golf. The weather cooperated and we had a great time. We were informed of league play but we played in good time. Our pace of play was good. Will play there again.
Great Course for the Money
I’ve played this course multiple times and it’s great value for the cost. It’s a simple course with a lot of open fairways. Staff is awesome and very friendly. Only thing I would change is even if you book a tee time online there’s a good chance you’re going to be waiting for a bit on a weekend. Other than that, definitely worth the play for how much it’ll cost.
Slowest Golf I have ever played.
I have been golfing 4-5 times a week since COVID. I have never written a review bad or good but I felt like I needed to report this course. The owners are only in it for the money. If you book online they will not respect your tee time. (First come first serve) There is no starter and they push as many people as possible out at a time. It took my almost 3 hours to play 9 HOLES.
DO NOT GO TO THIS COURSE.
Good course for price
I see a lot of negative reviews for this course, but it’s what I’d expect for $15/round. Beginners course, so pace will be slow. But it is maintained well, and staff is great. Recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, relaxed round to hit some balls and drink some beers with friends
