Good for beginners
Easy course to learn golf on. Staff are VERY friendly. Greens are ATROCIOUS. Especially the 9th green! Tee boxes and fairways are like concrete. Need to tee up? I had to go and dump water to get my tee in the ground.
poorly ran
Pace was terrible, thought a quick round of 18 would be fun, only got through 9 in 3 hours...was thinking of making turn only to find 6 carts of people teeing off.....tee times are a waste, many rookie golfers with no clue, respect or idea of how to be a courteous golfer.....greens aweful, tee boxes like concrete and club house falling apart. Will never waste time there again.
Nice course at a good value
I have played this course several times and for the cost to golf and service from the staff I will continue to come back.
It's not the course that's the problem
No one repairs ball marks; I have seen people drive right up to the greens and once an idiot drove onto no. 6 green. I won't even go into the lack of courtesy of the slow play. Taking 3 or 4 extra hits from the tee box when people are waiting....really?
Could they not give a couple of retirees free golf to Marshall this course on weekends from 10-5??
I like playing Meadowood when it's not packed.
Nice Price
Nice 9 hole course for the price. We play there all the time. It's close to home.
Horrible Management
Going into the round, I knew that Meadowood was one of if not the worst course in the area. However, I got a good deal and I also knew that it was one of the easier courses to take my whole family (including my daughter with special needs). It was a beautiful day, so the pace on the first 9 was a little slow but no big deal. The problem occurred when upon finishing our first 9, we noticed that the first tee was stacked up with 6 or 7 groups waiting. There was no starter or any accommodations for groups making the turn. Instead of waiting around an hour and a half, I asked the gentleman working in the pro shop for a rain check. He said he could not give one but gave me his managers card and said to call him and that it shouldn't be an issue. Unfortunately, it was. The manager said that since I purchased discounted round, it was their policy to not give rain checks. So, since I was unwilling to invest 7-8 hours of my entire family's day to play the 18 holes that we paid for, I was out of luck!
9 hold GOOD place to go
A GOOD place to have a round of golf for the price. A GOOD place to have a go time of fun with friends
great value
Awesome value and staff is super friendly. Shorter course for long hitters but still some challenging shots to be had.
2 SLOW
Great price BUT tooooo many people and pace was very frustration..... Need to have someone out to keep the pace moving.....
Friendly staff, nice course
This is a nice, well maintained course. The staff was friendly and helpful. Though short, the course has some challenging holes.
Nice Course, Pretty Tricky
Tricky Course, Pay attention to the pin locations, multi level greens, Slow pace on beautiful days
Good for 9
Booked for 18. Played first 9 pretty quickly but being a 9 hole course I ran into a log jam when I tried to get in the second nine. My fault. Still a good little course that requires a bit of imagination. Great Value on golfnow.
Good 9 hole course
It's a good course for only a 9 hole. greens vary from super slow or nice n fast couple nice holes I like. birdied hole 9 it's lined up next to houses around 260 straight with water In front of the hole.
Nice practice course
Great practice course or confidence booster more than a couple par 4's can be reached in 1. Great beginner course play here often with my wife who is just learning.
Enjoyable couse
this course is great for beginner/intermediate golfers. It can be forgiving but there are enough obstacles to require good placement on most holes.
Great nine-hole golfing
Very nice staff great grounds a good time for the experienced golfer or the intermediate golfer too hard holes eight and nine other than that pretty easy
Good Golf!
A little slow play today but it was Father's Day after all. The course was in good condition. I enjoy playing here.
Get Your Tee Times Worked Out!!
I would love to write a full review for this course, but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play. Booked for a 8AM tee time on Sunday and when I arrived at the clubhouse there were at least 5 groups (mostly foursomes) waiting to tee off on hole #1..that is NOT an exaggeration (I wish it were). I hung around the putting green to see if it opened up...NOPE, more people kept pouring in. So I decided to take my business elsewhere.
I get it, Sunday morning is a busy time, but seriously how can you expect people to wait at least 30-45 min to tee off, only to have it continue during the course of play...isn't that what tee times are for??
Weekday Round
This is a nice place to play during the week as is not crowded, can hit more than one shot, like to take my girlfriend as she is a new golfer and gives me the opportunity to teach as we play. Great pricing on Golf now. Beer cold, food reasonable. Nice area for outside dining with bean bag toss and dartboard too. Very convenient location and kinda tucked away also. Nice when you want to play a round but without the time constraints or pressures that a full blown course requires. Staff here very laid back which makes for a nice relaxing round.
