Golfer Reviews
Good beginner courze
This was the second round of golf I’d ever played, the first also being Meadowood. It’s a good beginners course, cheap green fee makes it more palatable to go out and learn.
Meadow wood review
I believe that the staff at meadow wood targeted my cousin and I and then when we were rained out after only 7 holes of play was rudely refused any even thought of a rain check and I am really upset.
Good recovery from rain
The course had several inches of rain in the past week but the grounds crew has done an excellent job keeping the course in shape...keep the carts out of the low spots! Lots of elderly and families today...a little slow but moving...great for beginners.
Played early in morning less than 3 hours to finish 18. Accidentally left my wallet in the golf cart called course about 1 hour later. They had my wallet at the pro shop someone had found it and turned it in. Thanks to all who were involved .
Great day
The weather was great but the course was still a little muddy from rain over the week. Grass was being cut but was still too tall. Overall experience was great, had a lot of fun.
Great 9 hole course
I play it All the time and this year they are really taking care of it!!!
Pace of play was extremely slow, almost 3 hours for 9 holes. Groups were cutting in front of us and in front of the group behind. Staff didn’t do anything about it, rather they said we know it happens.
We quit after 9 holes. Went inside to tell the staff and they had no care in the world. Will not be returning.
Simple 9 hole course with some nice features
This is a 9 hole course (not 18). The holes are tightly built next to each other, so if you miss, you'll likely be in another fairway. The conditions were pretty good considering the low budget feel. The greens were in great shape though, so I commend the keepers for that. There were several ponds, which definitely made this a better than average low budget course. The 8th and especially the 9th hole were the most memorable. If you go for the green on this par 4, you have to hit about 230 yards to carry a pond directly in front of the green or if you are very accurate, you can hit a very slim shot to the left of the pond, but more than 30 yards to the left and you are in trees. If you lay up, its about 150 yards to the water. It was a fun hole. I would recommend going for it with a cheap ball just for fun.
I can see this course as being fun for locals. It's perfect for walking. You really don't need a cart.
If you are out for fun and don't care too much about the conditions or tight layout, I would recommend at least trying it once.
Kids and New To Golf Friendly
First off, the staff is great and friendly. They make you feel very welcomed when you come in. I took my 7y old son out for a quick 18. The course is very simple in its layout. Great for beginners and kids. Not to say it’s not challenging still. The greens are smaller and roll slower than most which makes it difficult to get a true read on the put. It’s a fun place to play and would recommend this over mindlessly waking balls at a driving range.
Nice 9 hole course with good variations
I had played here twice before but I don't remember the course being in such good condition. There is good variations between holes, it's fun.
Great time with the wife
Wide open fairways, VERY forgiving and not busy on a Sunday (probably because NFL) so it was very relaxing with no feeling of being rushed. I will definitely be back.
