Dried out
Great value, but expect some terrible bounces in the fairway. Very dry this spring and you're going to get some bad roll out. Greens are absolute trampolines. Bump and run where you can.
Rain Check
I only got to play 9 holes because of the rain and I wasn’t able to get a rain check. Staff insisted that I go through GolfNow to get that refund, but GolfNow says to go through the course. Not happy about it.
Great coirse
Staff does a great job keeping up with the course. Excellent condition for a local public course! Layout is challenging enough to where it's not easy, but manageable. Lots of hills and undulation. Green complexes on the other hand are quite challenging. Many of the greens are tiered, sloped, and the pin placement was quite challenging. Especially on 10. That green is vicious!
General manager is rude and the pace of play is terrible
Time and time again these rounds take 5-6 hours, Dave the general manager is scum of the earth and is just rude to everyone that’s not in his clique. Course is decent but wouldn’t come back
Beautiful Day for Golf
Playing the Willows for the 3rd time this year. Course is challenging but there are no unfair holes. You must get off the tee to score. Greens were in good shape and fast. Downhill putts were crazy fast! A few places around the greens with burnt grass but repair work was in place. I recommend for a good round of golf to play and enjoy.
We played 18 and 2 1/2 hours
They put us on the back line at Pioneer and we had a wonderful time. The course is in a great condition. The starter was friendly and accommodating will definitely be back.
Dry
Greens were very hard and some were patchy. Recent hot weather damaged the course. Lots of patchy fairways..
Great layout though
Not good
Fairways were in horrible condition.
The greens had bare spots all over and ball marks like you wouldn’t believe.
Would not suggest to play this course anytime soon .
Great Potential
Really loved the facilities & the staff. The course layout was great but the fairways on the front 9 (of The Willow) were burnt out and did not have much grass. That said the greens were outstanding and the back 9 was outstanding. We asked the staff about the front 9 and they said it was the amount of play they've had under hot dry conditions but are confident the grass will return. And so will I - definitely give it another shot!
