A solid value
Have walked the front 9 many times only play the back when I can get a cart cheaply, as yesterday. Front is mostly straight forward, while the back punishes errant shots with lost balls as water and/or OB looms on most holes. Most fairways are good and greens fairly quick. Rough is generally playable. Sand traps are well maintained except for one flooded/muddy one, which of course I found.
Course is set in urban area so not the quietest course, but a pleasant place to play.
Good Conditions!
Course was in good shape all around and moved along well.
Great deal on steak dinner after the round!
Rude Staff
Play here almost weekly and consistently have dealt with some of the rudest staff in the clubhouse. The persons running the restaurant could not be any less friendly to someone wanting to spend their money here. They are argumentative and seemed bothered to help you. It’s a shame such a nice course lacks all customer service.
Great course, pretty good fairways (except for the reseeded areas)
This was my first time using this course. I've always been hesitant to play it because I once lived nearby and my backyard had a lot of mosquito problems. However, it was a beautiful day (no mosquitoes either!) and the course was well manicured. The rough was thick. The fairways were pretty good--patchy at some locations-- and 12, 13, & 14 are being re-seeded, so if you hit into the re-seed areas, they ask you to take a free drop rather than hitting out of there.
The course is relatively flat and doesn't have too many thickets of trees, so I didn't lose many balls.
The couple of forced carries are nice, and the carts are nice as well. I think it's probably my second favorite public course that I've played in NKY.
As expected early season
No shock that the course isn’t in great shape yet being it’s so early....most all the fairways are bare and patchy...greens are VERY quick but are rolling true....tee boxes are hit and miss....but like I said, I didn’t expect good conditions, I just wanted to get a round in....staff was very friendly, as always....had the course to myself besides 1 guy behind me and I finished in about 3 hours with a 9:00 tee time....I got the hot deal so it was worth it, but I would not pay anymore than 15-20 dollars to play this course right now
Full Price, really?
I will never understand why courses feel they can charge full price, when the course is not in top condition. To charge $46 for this course is questionable to begin with. There is major construction going on that effects 2 holes on the back nine, no reduction. Also, all greens had recently been aerated and were very uneven and extremely sandy. Again, I understand that both of these things are probably needed but lower your rates while they are going on!
Fun course
Course is a lot of fun to play. Fairways are well tended. Greens are true. The back
Nine is kind of a mystery. Completely different philosophy than the front. Greens and fairways still well tended but lots of sloping fairways, drained ponds, and weird shots. Would still play this course 5 days a week.
Very nice place to go
It’s been a awhile like three months that have played this course this year! Much change like the grass is greener. Just feel better! J
Great hidden course
First time playing here. Course was in generally good shape and they were working on several holes needing repair. Pace of play on front 9 was pretty good until about 5th hole when 6 foursomes scramble slowed everything up. Still got done in about 5 hours
Cloudy day
Good day for golf. The course was in decent shape for the weather in this area. They seemed to bunch everybody up on #1 tee instead of sending some to the back nine. We had a 10 minute wait on at least 6 out of the nine. The back nine much more wide open no waits no rushing. Very enjoyable I will play this course again.
Solid course
The course is in fairly decent shape, 1 not-so-great fairway and 1 not-so-great green. greens rolled true. had a slow 4-some in front of us that luckily only played 9. this is a very good course for the intermediate golfer.
Not the best
Extremely slow pace of play, front 9 was well taken care of. Back 9 was absolutely brutal. I would only play here if you can get a significant deal.
White tees: longest 6,000 yards
Open but fun. Course plays longer than yardage. Good mix of holes. Enjoyed playing
Not worth the price
Front 9 were ok back 9 had 3 holes that were under repair and in poor condition. I can find an as good or better course for less money. On the other hand it is a fairly flat course which is hard to find around here. The staff I spoke to were all very nice and helpful
Pleasantly surprised
It was a beautiful day and the golf course was in great shape and had a great meal after the game I would recommend this to any who can play it.
Great day on a fantastic course
Played under potential rain. Our 2 some was allowed to pass a 4 some and then a 3 some. Players were very polite in letting us play through. The course played longer as ball did not roll well because of wet conditions. Couple of holes on back nine are having faiways repaired but areas were not in play. Great time and greens rolled true.
Thick rough
After rain and dense fog, the rough was very thick and uncut. The greens were wet with dew that never fully evaporated. These conditions made course very difficult.
