Pioneer at Golf Courses at Kenton County, The

Today was my first visit in 15 years. The course layout was challenging but reasonable. The only thing that was not satisfactory was the pace of play. Groups did not seem spaced enough to allow for a reasonable pace. There also didn’t seem to be anyone pushing pace of play along. 2 separate groups in front of me would spend five minutes searching for their ball and then drop anyway. That’s not really something that can always be co trolled, just an observation on a nearly five hour round.

Greens were fast, which is good, white tee marks all the way back, makes course play tougher

All good but we didn’t get to finish due to the course closing so Ann Work now to try to get a refund on the money

Course was in good condition. Stuck behind slowest group of 4 ever (2 of us). Nobody on green and they still hadn't teed off. One person hit then they had a conversation before next person hit. This was multiple holes. It made for a hot, slow round.

Course was in great condition. Played at noon and with no one in front of us we were done in 3 hours. (2 plyrs)

The course was in the best condition I’ve seen it in awhile. One thing you always rrin into at a course like this is lack of golf etiquette. Not fixing ballmarks, not driving carts in correct areas.

Everything about the course was great. Loved the layout and the sand traps were in wonderful condition, which is a breath of fresh air when it comes to munis around here. Only hiccup in the day was an interaction with the cart wrangler in which he forced my friend and the random that we were playing with to ride together after playing 9 holes with 3 carts in a foursome. my group had three people, so we had two carts. The random claimed he got his teetime an hour before we tee’d off, and got his own cart because why would you want to ride with a total stranger? The worker’s argument for consolidating us was that he wanted to put one less cart away at the end of the day, which I think could have been delivered better because it seemed lazy seeing as we weren’t even the last group to go on the back nine for the day.

Course was in good shape for early April. Pace of play was good. Staff was very accommodating

Pioneer Course here at Kenton County is their easier layout, with Willows being tougher. The course is in good early season condition, and becoming spring green quickly. The pace of play on this Sunday afternoon was much slower than normal here, with our 9 holes taking approximately 2.5 hours. We had an enjoyable time here nonetheless.

In better shape than a lot of higher priced places around the area

Might be time to consider someone under 70 to help run things here. It is almost impossible to get a tee time here, which seems mostly due to leagues that suck this place dry. We had an afternoon tee time and could tee off because of league twosomes continually jumping us. “Starter” (guy in a chair by the carts) offered no help whatsoever. I want to like playing here but it doesn’t seem to be run half as well as Boone County.

An amazing place to go play staff is amazing definitely recommend it!
