Bay Hills Golf Club

Pace of play was excellent. On a Saturday at 11am, I joined a twosome and played the front in under 2 hours. Greens need some TLC, mostly I think from people playing. FIX YOUR DIVOTS! Will play here again because it's nearby and the value for the money is hard to beat.

Course was in the best condition we’ve played there, in the past 2 1/2 years. Weather of course was fabulous.

Extremely nice course. However only about 10% of the sand traps have sufficient sand in them; and need drainage work. Most of the time I was hitting out of the sand, I was hitting off hard pan or had to take a drop due to water.

I only paid $20 to play 18, so these are more pointing out flaws that need to be fixed as opposed to complaints.

1. No starter anywhere. Nobody knew when tee-times were, who was teeing off, what the groups were etc.

2. No marshall anywhere. I stopped after 9 because it took over 3 hours. In front of us there were two groups: there was a group of 4 gentlemen, 21-23 years old, and it looked like their first time ever swinging a golf club. Behind them was an actual family, father mother daughter and son, all of which struggled to hit a ball further than 30 yards. No marshall anywhere to tell them to let people play through or speed it up.

3. Greens in awful condition, as usual, with divots and weed patches everywhere. Awful for putting.

4. Bunkers are unplayable concrete patches. Would advise against trying to hit from bunkers if you like your wedges or wrists being intact.

5. In the 3+ hours we spent on the front 9, we saw the Cart Girl once on the 2nd hole and never again. Pretty unfortunate.

All in all this was by far the worst this course has played for me all year. You have to do something about the pace of play here or it will never be worth the money. This place has also has the nerve to charge over $50 for a morning round and I know for a fact pace of play is no different as marshalls and starters are non-existent.

If you enjoy 6-hour rounds and waiting over 20 minutes on each tee-box, for $30-$50 rounds (minus the GolfNow $20 deals), this the course for you. I will not be returning this season and hope things change for next year.

Met a real nice couple that I played with, and it was a beautiful day

Nice course but I personally like more par fives. Staff was super friendly though.

Too many greens are covered in dead weed patches, aerated heavily and with sand everywhere, or littered with unfixed divets. Fairways good/decent condition. Tee boxes could use new grass.

Pace of play was normal so about 4 hours for my foursome to play 18. We waited a bit in the front, not at all on the back.

Overall, you get what you pay for around Annapolis. $29 isn’t bad for an afternoon round on the weekend. This course is not very challenging and includes one par 5. Found most holes to be straight up driver-wedge and on the green.

Course back nine was in pretty bad shape, greens very sandy and hard sand or no sand in the sand traps. Course slowed by group playing six on a hole. No marshal to move things along. We play this course frequently, but after today it moved down on our list of favorites.

Workers were prepping the bunkers while people were playing the same hole. It made me feel uncomfortable and cost me 3-4 strokes hitting towards people. This was after I teed off at 7:30 AM and lasted until the 17th green. Start workers earlier in the day and do the bunkers first.

This isn’t about the course. Fairways, roughs and greens were fine. There’s no range, and the putting green is tiny.

This is about the mis-management. We showed up for what we thought was a 50-player outing. And that’s what we had. But to our surprise, there was a simultaneous 84-player outing. Shotgun start at 9 am, and we finished at 2:50. We took a rest room break at the turn, and when we got to 10 tee, there were still two other foursomes waiting to drive. It was a long, long day.

Two of our foursomes came in at about 3:30. The carts are the slowest I’ve ever driven, and it didn’t matter. Don’t ever play an outing here, and don’t book a tee time without asking whether there’s an outing on that day.

The carts don’t have rain protection for your clubs. If there’s a chance of precipitation, be prepared.

I play this course a couple times a year. It's a good badic layout. Not a long course but requires strategy for each shot. Only one par five. It's in better shape than the past year. I played after an extended rainy period, but the course held up great. I would definitely recommend this course.

Played with a group of nice guys that I met for the first time. Enjoyed the day and the layout of the course. Wasn't sure about the Gold and the White Tees, they were back and forth in distance, white in front on some holes, gold in front on others. I also collect Logo balls from the different courses, but none were there. Other than that, had a very enjoyable day.

I would recommend this course to anyone in the area.

The course in in good condition and reasonably challenging

They schedule there tee times 7 min. apart and then had no marshall on course to maintain pace of play. It took 1 hour to play first 4 holes. Greens were extremely fast and fairways were hard which led to alot of roll. Not a very enjoyable round of golf.

We played 5 holes and it took 2 1/2 hours. It was ridiculous. Not sure someone wasn’t driving around the course trying to find the problem
