What Used to Be…
I remember when playing The Willows was a real treat. I have not played it in a few years but played yesterday afternoon. The condition of the course was average from tee to green. Some fairways (#3 in particular) was in very poor condition. I realize it has rained a few days lately, but the course is not being properly maintained. The cart paths are in dire need of complete replacement. They are virtually impossible to drive on.
Kenton County should be ashamed of this course. It deserves better, and can be returned to a destination course. You will get local play, beer league play, and seniors, but no one should drive more than 10 minutes for The Willows right now. There are better options elsewhere.
Nice course, pace of play needs to be better.
Overall a nice course, good layout. Cartpaths are *rough*. The course needs to do a better job at overseeing pace of play. There’s no reason why a twosome should be holding up a single player hole after hole like they’re playing PGA rules.
Kenton Co
The course is in great shape, cart paths are rough. Hopefully that’s their next fix.
Good course
I was skeptical about playing this course because people were telling me it went down hill. It was far from down hill.
Ok Course
Caught the course on a slow day and the pace of play was great. Finished in just over 3 hours. Conditions were ok, but not as nice as many other local courses.
Quit whining about the cart paths.
Almost every review I read said something negative about the cart paths. Yeah there were some bad spots but just drive around them! The course is in great condition and the layout is great, fair and challenging. Will be back!!
Golf now app
I paid for my tee time on golf now, then when I arrived at the course I had to pay again. Wires are crossed somewhere.
Cart paths tainted an otherwise good experience
The course was fine But the cart paths are in serious disrepair
Challenging and beautiful
Course is in FANTASTIC CONDITION except for cart paths are kind of rough. It's tough from the rough so stay in the fairway.
Willows gc
Friendly neighborhood golf course with enough challenge for beginner and amateurs.
