Pioneer course
Went on a Saturday around mid day, nice course, medium difficulty
Hi InThaDrink, thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed our course and found it to be of medium difficulty. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon!

I have played the Pioneer course many times and consider it my home course, however on Tuesday I was so disappointed and shocked! My coworker and I played the front 9 on the pioneer, but as we were getting ready to tee up on the tenth, we were told that there was at least an hour wait due to the crazy amount of leagues playing at the same time. We proceeded to complain to the clubhouse and try to get our money back but we just got shown the door and told that the manager wasn't even there!. I'll probable never play here again!!!

You better play before 3pm or the leagues will destroy your golf outing and Kenton Golfcourse doesn’t care or at least provide a voucher!
This place is overpriced and overbooked!
Hi caca53, thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding league play and the lack of voucher. We value your input and will take it into consideration as we aim to improve our service. Please contact David Peru, GM at 859-371-3200 if there is ever an issue that we would gladly correct.

Good Place
Always a good experience playing on this course. Only issue I saw this time were the greens were rather hard for the time of year.
Great condition! Easy yet still challenging.
This was my second time playing here. 1st time was end of the season last year. Course is pretty wide open so errant shots are not automatically a list ball.
Course was in very good condition, fairways, greens as well as tee boxes. The local folks that okay here frequently must have been schooled in fixing ball marks on the greens since my usual routine of fixing my divot as well as one other didn’t need to be followed. As mentioned, greens were really good.
Pace of play seems good, we weren’t slowed down by anyone ahead, and we never were pushed by groups following.
Staff was friendly both in the pro shop as well as out side.
It is a bit of a drive for me, but this has become one of my favorite courses.
Definitely will be back.
Thank you for the feedback. We hope you enjoyed your visit and would love to have you back again. Have a great day!
Pioneer
The golf course was in perfect shape. The 9:50 tee time was ovver booked. There was a group of 7playing in front of us and they all teed off in front of the two of us.
They could have easily let us start and not held us up the whole 18. The group in front of us mostly waited to tee off when the group in front of them was on the green and they were seldom in the fairway so they weren't going to hit anyone.
Thank you for the feedback. We hope you enjoyed your visit and would love to have you back again. Have a great day!

Repeat golfer at Kenton County
As it is a popular course in my area it’s hard to get through quickly but with that being out of the way I don’t think I’ve had a bad experience here. Greens are always grown well but weather really dictates the speed. Super good place to practice, especially pioneer because on the back 9 the cart path is paved to where it’s real easy to go to the clubhouse and back. Overall great course
Thank you for your kind review. Please let us know how we can assist in any of your golf needs. Have a great day,

Still in great shape
Course fairways and rough is still very plush compared to most courses in the area. I was pleasantly surprised that with all of the hard ground locally that the ball didn’t just fly off the course when it hit the ground. The rough held every ball when it rolled in that direction. Fairways, when I got them also held the ball very nicely and it was great hiring of both surfaces. The leaves weren’t as much of a problem that I expected either, they have done a gods job of maintaining the course through the year. Highly recommend this course.
Nice improvements
Last time I played greens where rough and fairways not the greatest. But both were in awesome shape.
Kenton County Pioneer Course
My first time here. Arrived early and checked in. Did some warm up swings and some putting on the practice green. My cart was near the starter and he asked what time my tee time was. Told him it was in 20 mins, but he pointed out there was no one waiting so told me to go ahead. I was going solo so went ahead.
Course looks to be in terrific shape. Greens were great! Seems most golfers here know to fix ball marks! A few courses north of Cincinnati, not so much. These greens were great!
Found it interesting that a few other folks , in their reviews, said it would be easy to walk. Not so much. Several changes in elevation and several fairways with left-to-right or right-to-left slopes, pretty extreme. Would be a challenge walking, but not impossible.
Overall, one of the nicer courses I’ve plaid in the area. Will definitely come back, even though it’s about a 50 minute drive.
