Walden Golf Club

I consider Walden CC my home course since it’s less than 10 mins from where I live.I play here more than anywhere else. Walden is a short tight course which makes it pretty challenging. The fairway and rough are rarely in good shape, but the greens are almost always in great shape. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I enjoy playing at Walden because it’s a challenging course. If you want to sharpen your iron play, Walden is a good course for that.

Walden has a unique layout for this area.

I live nearby, but don't get a chance to play Walden too often. They jacked up their rates about 2 years ago (COVID maybe), and there's no way I'd pay $70 here! There are too many wet spots, I think 5 holes outside of the par 3s are cart path only, and the local residents that actually have memberships there aren't the most fun to golf with if you get paired up. They act like it's THEIR course and you're playing Troon North.

If you can get past the price and the nonsense, the course layout is different for this area. You can't go Driver just because you want to; you'll get penalized.

I usually only play Walden now when I catch a good deal on GN. I would never pay their posted rack rate.

In all, a fun little long course, but I wish they went back to the old pricing chart.

I would wait to see if you can get a golf now deal on this course, I don’t believe this is a $45 and up course! Pace was fine, fairways are decent! Now again this is in the winter! One thing I like about this course… the greens are fairly decent

Fairways are very narrow, too many hazards. Fairways were bald, greens were in good condition. Tee boxes need repairs. Too many leaves on the course and sand traps were like stuffed sand. Overall it's a decent course for the price. No senior discount.

Tee boxes scruffy and overgrown. Rough patchy. Asphalt bunkers. Whatever. But it’s also just a badly laid out golf course.

Walden is one of my favorite courses to play because of how the course challenges my game. The tee boxes and rough are not it the best shape. The fairway is healing back up, but the greens are always in great shape. The regular staff at the course are very friendly.

On the particular round, the pace of play was the the worst I’ve ever experienced.

I’ll alway recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenging course to play.

Course conditions have improved drastically since early summer. Greens are excellent and fairways have grown back in quite well. It is nice to have a decent local course to play at a reasonable price. I will return.

It’s not just Walden but every time I book I pay more than the discounted price that you show on the email and when I asked, they said they were not aware of the discount from GOLFNOW.

The course was in terrible shape. The fairways were bald and muddy. We were told to keep the carts off the fairways because they were just seeded. Too late as they let the fairways die before seeding. The tee boxes are full of weeds. To top it off a very large swastika was carved into the 10th green. Not a very pleasant experience.
