Great course for the money.
The course was in great condition for the money. The pace of play was great. They are doing construction currently so 2 of the holes were a bit confusing.
Construction
Course under construction but still not addressing cart paths or water build up
Under Repair
Played it Sunday 3/1. For winter golf course was in solid shape if you don't count 1 and 9. Those two holes are impacted by the driving range project. So 1 is playing as a roughly 225 yard hole from the whites and 9 is 190 yard hole. Being as these rounds aren't postable yet, it didn't bother me. Got around in under 4 hours which is always nice on a weekend. Basic local course, but if you go into it with that mindset you should be satisifed. Good for what it is.
Under Construction
Bowie Golf Course is under major construction. Some fairways are included. Greens were very fast.
Under construction
Wish I knew the course was under construction, not worth paying more than $25 until construction is done. If you don't mind playing while under construction the course is okay, but you'll lose 4 holes and pay full price, to me not worth it as of today
But will definitely comeback when the constitution is done
Very nice course
First time playing this course. Course is in good shape, very flat and open, some challenging holes with doglegs and water coming into play on the back 9. Greens were tricky. Not much rain lately so greens were fast and somewhat hard to gauge.
One hole was temporary (i think the 9th) due to driving range construction. There is no driving range right now due to that construction. Staff was very friendly, and they had a cart girl working the course.
Price was great. I paid $50 on Labor Day (senior rate), regular rate was $60, and we are not Bowie residents. I would recommend this course for all ages and skill level. Will be back.
Lots of stuff going on
They closed the range for remodel, have 2 holes that are under renovation. Lots of big machinery blowing wood chips in the air and running within 25 yards of tee boxes and greens. Should have been discounted heavily. Waited on every tee box for close to 10 minutes. Very frustrating. No starter to tell us that the tee box on number one was 125 yards up in the fairway. Bathrooms dont lock. Noone in the snack shop. No cart girl. No water on the course. The cart we had was rubbing on the tire so bad that it vibrated our faces. Lol. Yeah should have been 30 bucks
Except for the temp green on #9 and the Temp tee on # 1(due to construction of a new driving range) THE COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE, tHERE WERE A FEW EXISTING TEE BOXES BEING CLOSED FOR RESEEDING.
Hole #1 and #9
The fairways are in fair to good shape..greens are in great shape..tee boxes oj ..The cart path is a nightmare and the construction on hole #1 and esp #9 is frustrating..They should discount for those 2 holes $3 to $5 dollars for each hole..off....when construction is going on...It definitely mess with a players game ..bc the front is like a par 32 instead of a par 35..Just saying !!
Good local course!
I like the people there very much. It's a great course to learn on, and bring the kids. Minus a couple stars because of ongoing construction, but I'm sure it will look great when finished.
Worth Playing
The staff was very friendly. The course conditions were playable with greens and fairways in good condition.,The restaurant had plenty of seating and adequate food and beverage options. I was visiting from out of state but if I was a local I would play this course regularly. Thank you.
Good spot
Cheep great pace and a course where u can find ur ball 9/10 the course is kept well I would say the fair ways and greens could be a bit better but u cant beat the price in the area
