Walden Golf Club

It’s not just Walden but every time I book I pay more than the discounted price that you show on the email and when I asked, they said they were not aware of the discount from GOLFNOW.

The course was in terrible shape. The fairways were bald and muddy. We were told to keep the carts off the fairways because they were just seeded. Too late as they let the fairways die before seeding. The tee boxes are full of weeds. To top it off a very large swastika was carved into the 10th green. Not a very pleasant experience.

It’s so hit or miss with this course in regards to course condition. Today was a miss. But there was no one there so it was a quick round.I played for a hot deal like $25. If I’d payed full price I definitely would have been more disappointed.

Very nice time playing 18 quickly. Good food at the clubhouse. Nice course. Good deal for the area. Was told rough and cartpath only by guy patrolling. He was nice enough. I should’ve asked the pro shop but for the record, pro shop didn’t specify. Didn’t seem wet enough, but what do I know. Check this one out.

Not taken care of whatsoever. Muddy sand traps, dirt holes across all fairways, rough higher than you can imagine

They were kind enough to reduce fees. They are in the middle of air rading the course. Good course I would go back again.

Pace of play was horrible. 3 groups per hole.

Fairways were as high as the rough, IF there was even grass to place from. Dirt and grass spots on nearly every Fairways. Greens were bumpy. This was first time here in 2 years. Won't be back for a while, if at all.

It’s close to home. Priced accordingly. Greens have been in great shape all summer. The course is just too tight. Rough is always overgrown. The course layout is just out dated

This course is beat up. Fairways were hard and a lot of them had very little grass, mostly weeds a dirt. It was better hitting out of the rough then the fairways. 17 & 18 were the only descent holes. Until they clean this course up it is very over priced. I’ve played better local municipal course around Baltimore for a much better price.

I use to love playing this course. 1-2 years ago it was always a go to. The layout is good. But the fairways are in terrible condition with dry spots everywhere and the fairways match the rough in length. The greens are destroyed. The bunker are a mix of over grown grass and mud. The Marshall was no where on the course to keep the pace of play. Also, you’d think a cart person would be out in August. Nope. I cannot say that at this point in time that I would recommend playing here nor will I never play here unless the conditions drastically change. I should’ve took the word of a 2.5 star rating. Wish now that I took pictures to share.

This course could be so much better if they actually took good care of it. The fairways are the worst I’ve seen them in years, possibly ever. You can hit your best drive of the day and still lose the ball in mud/weeds. Although the course layout & greens are good, the other aspects of the course take most of the enjoyment out of it, such as the cart paths and bunkers and the weedy overgrown fairways. Sad to see how this course has so harshly declined over the last 20 years… maybe it’s ownership
