A good value
Conditions were not as good as the first time a
I played a few years ago. Conditions were not at all bad, just not as good as my first experience. Still a great value.
Pace of Play & Difficulty Level
I love Enterprise, I have played it five times this year already. Great staff and the course is in great shape.
I have been waiting to post this review until I've had several rounds where the challenges have been the same. Those challenges are pace of play and difficulty level, and I think they are probably related. Because it is a 120 slope from the back tees, it seems very approachable on paper. But with a handful of long par 5s, a 230 yard par 3, several blind or partially obstructed tee shots, and a small number of forced carries, I think that 120 is probably ~10 strokes too low. I have never shot at, below, or, frankly near my handicap (20) on the course; my buddy (a 10) came out with me today and fired a 17.5 (~5% - ~10% statistical chance of that happening). Obviously, not everyone plays from the backs, but the same notion goes for the other tees: the course is probably misrated, but because it is misrated I think it may attract more beginners than it should. And because Enterprise like, in fairness, every other public course in D.C. stuffs the tee sheet every 10 minutes, you get some serious backlogs. I had a six hour round there earlier this year; today's round was a little over 5 hours in blistering heat that probably turned a lot of people away.
Overall a super enjoyable course, great staff, good conditions, just not a course that is going to help your handicap. I probably won't play it again for a long time because of this.
Overall very good shape
Enterprise is always in solid condition and was today with the exception of a few greens that were partly burnt out. Additionally hole 11 had a HUGE tree near the green that had fallen on the cart path. I would still recommend this course.
Course is great but peace of play is slower than a turtle
Course in great condition. Pace of play was horrible. 5 hour round
Enterprise 7/10/26
Great course. Very well maintained. Greens were in fantastic condition. Definitely recommend.
Nice Track
Was traveling to the area. Was looking for somewhere to play Enterprise came up close to where I was staying. I made the reservation before I arrived and when I got to the area the weather was touch and go. So I went early and the let me go out to beat the weather. They have a snack bar located in a central location (not just the turn) so you can always refresh your snacks/drinks. The staff was nice ( check-in starter refreshments). Beautiful layout. Well groomed and taken care of. For a city course I was pleasantly surprised. No Marshall bit the pace was sufficient. Some challenging holes on the back. No frills at the clubhouse you can see the resources go to the course. Ele teonic carts are not overly aggressive. Highly recommend. I play 3X a week at home 14 hc.
Great course!
We enjoyed playing this course and will definitely be back soon. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to book for 9 holes on the GolfNow app, so I’ll have the book directly with the course when I want to play less than 18 holes.
Enterprise remains a prize
Course was in excellent condition. And that’s mostly the case at Enterprise. Only issue, checking in sometimes requires patience. The technology is a bit slow. But otherwise excellent experience, especially for rate at 3 pm.
